The car is like 2200 lbs! You won't even need the Brembos even for abusive driving. But yeah, check it out when it's at the dealers. I'm gonna do it too for fun!
Probably, though I doubt it's common. Not much different than offering a Mustang/Camaro as a rental IMO. Huge rental place at IAH airport had a couple FR-S last time I grabbed a car there. Hertz I believe.
Odds are it'll be a 6AT though.

To each his own
It may be down on power, but there's no getting around that 600 pound weight difference between the two.
I would be all for driving one of these to feel the difference between that and my AP2

I wasn't a fan of it until I got to actually drive one. It was glorious to drive.
Didn't realize the first batch of the new Miatas at the dealers are all RED. haha The launch edition of something. I don't know. I'll see if there's any dealer that would let me test drive it. haha
Have you driven any of the Miatas before?

The beauty of miatas is the aftermarket support is damn near ginormous. If you can think of it, someone likely makes it.
it won't be long before parts are coming out for the ND. For the NC model, you can have a brand new 2.5L crate engine dropped in from Mazda by a shop (I don't remember if it was Flyin' Miata or Dynotronics) for $3,000!! It bumps the torque up nicely from the stock 2.0L in the NC.
There are a plethora of turbo and SC kits also. My SC'd NC hauls some serious ass. I absolutely love driving it. I was never a fan of miatas and I really wanted an s2000, but due to my height I couldn't fit in an s2. The NC weighs 300 pounds less, is smaller, and yet I fit comfortably in it without issue.
You can also transfer that SC to the 2.5L. Straight swap. That's my next step. The shop that installs the engine swap claims "it'll run with corvettes"
. I'm guessing a base 'vette, but whatever!

The tailight looks a little funky in the back. The back end is very short compared to the front end. I've seen one in person just once, but it looked promising!
2200lb for a car in 2015 is insane!

And you hate everything. No need to remind others in every thread you post.
Dayum that looks awesome in that set up. The front/side lips help this car more than any other I've ever seen and those wheels are perfect.
I've looked online at the 2 closest to me recently & didn't see any in their online inventory
