I've been getting an itch to go to Euro, or some smaller (older) Porsche after law school...but I might just go balls out on my older 4th gen prelude, and make that my real toy.

I LOVE S2KS though. great pick up.

thanks for stopping by campus and letting me drive it around for a while!

I would love a S2K but I need some room..

I also Love the SKY redline, I just drove a customers of mine redline that had the CAI, Cat back , and Upgraded chip I think he said it had 350HP and 340 foot LBS that think moved.. Stock there 2.0 liters 260 hp 260 lbs torque and 49/51 weight distrabution...

My next ride will prob be a 2006 RL.. I love that car..

^ What the hell are you talking about?! The Sky Redline/Solstice GXP's are MORE cramped than the S2k! At least I found, lol but my opinion differs since I'm 6'1''

The one things I like a bout the Sky/Solstice is that they are turbocharged (if you get the Redline/GXP, other than that they are wastes of money) and are pretty quick off the line. When I test drove the Solstice the dealer let me and a friend just go cruising for an hour by ourselves..BAD IDEA on his part but it was damn fun! With a nice 3'' Tbe a chip and some better tires that car can be a little beast. The only gripe I had was the interiors..which SUCKED..but hey, GM quality. Which was made up for by the reliability and badass-ness of the EcoTech under the hood

/threadjack

-----> For that S2k though bhurlbut, I hope you realize that bolt-on mods don't do sh!t for those cars and the most gains you'll see are adding a VAFC/Testpipe/and Final Gears like a 4.77..and even then you still won't be close to 300whp. The best path that I've found (friend did with my advice): Modifry Convex lens (rear view mirror blows), Coilovers, Testpipe (defouler comes with, no CEL whatsoever and no rasp), and a tune with a VAFC once you get your A/F ratios all sorted out. Adding things like exhaust/CAI are totally trivial here because Honda over-engineered the hell out of this thing already. It's all a matter of taste I guess, I would call those "bling" mods, which are more for taste/sound/show than actual performance. Imo be smart, buy these small things, enjoy the HELL out of the car, and just go FI, InlinePro/Vortech!

Here's a clip of the Berk Test pipe on an Ap1/Ap2:

Yeah, that would be a wise choice.

The sky is nice, but its not S2000. The S2000 is much more fun. Yes, I have driven both.

^ True but the Redline/GXP has WAY more potential. They both handle differently imo. I noticed the Ap1 S2k had more of a tendency to have the tail slide out (which was somewhat fixed in the Ap2) than the Redline/GXP. The GM cars also are only about 100 pounds heavier than the S2k. I don't know how you drive, but as far as driving dynamics go, they are both pretty much on par. It would be a hard decision though, and I would be more inclined to get an S2k simply because of all the "extras", like HIDs, the baller interior etc etc..

If you like having N/A fun then by all means.

heh I'm still thinking about picking up an S2000 as a daily just because I love to drive roadsters in general and my friend's AP1 was a blast. Plus as much as I love to mod my car I also hate it because it just burns a hole in my pocket since it never really ends.

On the other hand I also really want a C5 Z06 which is right with it in price, but the downside is there's no power top and I'll be tempted to mod the hell out of the thing... why can't I have both?! FML

^Well, with the Ap1+Ap2 there's only SO much you can do before finally running out of mods (and money) until you bite the bullet and go FI. I've seen people waste close to $3-4k and haven't even made a full 300whp. Spend that money on a C5..and well...you get the idea

Who needs a power roof when you've got T-tops?

It also depends on what you want out of the car..
Do you want a nice handling "Ah sweet car" roadster?
Or a GTFO of my way before I eat you muscle car?

That's the problem man.... can't decide! I just like how instant the S2000's power top is. The shifter is perfect too. Its such a driver-centric car.

yeah, heh my car pretty much makes 300whp stock as is.... and my Evo and STi buddies recently got their doors blown off (talking bus lengths here) by a mysterious Z28 that they almost thought was me

but I don't really know what I want in a car, truly. I love modding but I'm afraid it'll be a never ending money pit is all. it doesn't matter what car it is, I'll be tempted to mod it whether it be baller wheels or performance mods or a gutting with racing buckets... sigh.
