Really? I didn't know they ran so rich. My friend's LGT can't do it and he's got a full turbo back catless exhaust. I guess it's all in the tune.

Thanks dude. I am definitely babying the clutch. How long did yours last before you upgraded?

Love it. Usually not a fan of that style tip but it really matches well with your blue.

Yeah I'm usually not a fan of it either. I thought it might look a little ricey. But since the car is blue it works well.

Finally some daylight pictures after a wash and wax (although they are cell phone shots)...

Hey guys sorry for the lack of updates. Started my new job two weeks ago and they're strict about internet usage, so no Azine Also, the schedule is pretty rough so any free time is spent not on the computer lol. Mon-Thurs 7:30-5:30, Fri 8-12. Plus a 2 hour roundtrip commute everyday in rush hour traffic. Nearing 4500 miles

I got the tint done at Evolution Window Tinting in West Babylon. They do a pretty decent job and VERY quickly. I was in and out in 45 minutes.

Okay here is the update...

They are Swift Sport lowering springs mounted on OEM KYB shocks. 20K miles on the setup. Basically got it for the price of just the springs new. Figured this was the best way to go since it's an easy swap and I get to keep my own OEM setup in one piece. They should drop the car about 1.5 inches all around fully settled.

Here is the drop. I installed it just now. It was by far the EASIEST coilover install I have ever done. Difficulty was 2/10. Took me just under two hours.

The ride is better than stock. And the drop is perfect at around 1.25 inches all around. Maybe it will settle a little more. I am very happy with the purchase

Don't worry about the picture quality. I just edited it so you can see the arches and tires.

Now it's time to decide if I want new wheels, or just 25mm spacers and be done with it....

I always heard that if you got a lease on a car, you have to take the car to dealership for oil changes etc.. and you can't mod the car while its on a lease, I assume that's not the case?

Ah if only I could bring it over. I would totally let you take it for a spin on the autobahn. With me as a passenger of course.

Thanks. Yeah it was like 4 bolts and 10 nuts total. You can access the rear struts from the trunk so that makes everything easier.

I believe that is the case. I'm not taking the car into the dealer with the intake or tune. They won't really notice the drop and they will just have to deal with the exhaust. Tint they don't care about.

I plan to buy the car though and they know that. Taking it in for an oil change this week so ill see how it goes.

Can you give a little review on the COBB AP as I am a bit in shock on how such a cheap device that plugs into your OBD can give such monsterous power.

Is it a boost controller w/ preset maps?

It flashes the ECU with a new map. It completely changes the way the computer controls the engine.

I just did a road trip of 1000 miles after uploading a tune with the Cobb AP and it ran BETTER than stock.

I'm a believer in the AccessPort.

2/10 difficulty for an engineer, that is.

Drop looks great! I think you have a hard choice with the wheels. The drop seems to make new wheels unnecessary, but I think they would take the car to a completely different level.

Funny that this thread got bumped today, I have an update for you guys

I'll start off by saying that the Cobb AP is worth every penny. It increases boost and fuel economy. I am running the Stage 1 93 octane + Cobb SF intake (even though I have a different brand intake) + low boost map. I had an issue with overboosting so I had to go with a low boost tune. The car runs so much smoother and feels very refined.

They have a map for a electronic boost controller as well. I will probably do that down the road.

So my birthday was on the 30th (last week). My gf (who is amazing) got me a new 426 gram Flossy Heavy-weight shift knob. It made a HUGE difference. The shifting is like butter now. I absolutely LOVE it and recommend anyone with a manual to consider one. They make it in a ball too. I prefer the taller stick though. She got it engraved with the 5MT pattern. It's a nice grippy powdercoated finish.

After spending Friday and Saturday getting hammered in NYC, we took a drive on Sunday to Caumsett State Park where I finally introduced the Evo to some real dirt.

Finally, today I installed a CF taller hood scoop. I'm still on the fence about putting CF on a blue car and the fitment is not perfect, but it is starting to grow on me.

Just wanted to update my answer to this question. I took the car to the dealer for an oil change with the stock intake and Cobb AP uninstalled. It still had the cat back exhaust, tint, and lowering springs on. They didn't say a word and the oil change went problem free
