My Goodness, that CTS-V is fast! (NWS language)

Modded CTS-V (NOT my car, I don't race) vs. stock E55. Was posted on the CTS-V forum. Not a fair race, but fun to watch nevertheless. Of course, it occurred in Mexico because racing on public roads in the U.S. is dumb.

Ever since I sold my Vette the new V has been on my short list for replacing the TL.

That just makes me want one even more. :-(

That was the most classic reaction I've ever heard lol! I'd probably say the same thing if my $80k E55 got smoked that bad by a Caddy. Just plain sick.

The V owner in the first video has a 9.5" crank pulley, CAI, and custom tune. That's it. No NOS. The kiiller is....for all that, he probably spent not much more than a thousand bucks including the dyno pulls. God Bless American muscle, it's so cheap to mod.

Can't wait for warranty to be over on this car.

That little small block pushrod Chevy is one of the best engines ever produced. I also love the CTS-V. Talk about having it all.

The difference is how much money went into building that M3 (and how much its going to cost when it all grenades itself into a million pieces)....

I don't know why it's a shock either way to the Benz driver. A brand new E55 is only about two hundred pounds lighter (probably negated by the dude in the passenger seat) and has over 175 less horsepower than a STOCK CTS-V. A CTS V would eat that thing no matter what, so if it was actually modded a little bit of N2O or even just a tweaked pulley it would blow past that thing from a roll.

I could watch that first video all day. The CTS-V is an absolute beast and is definitely on my short list for next vehicle.

lol, the HPF Turbo kit costs $15,000. No thanks! Not sure how much the Stage 3 kit is, but IIRC its around $20,000.

Say Bob. If you are ever down in my neck of the woods with your 'V', P-L-E-A-S-E look me up. I would LOVE to take a ride in that beauty. I'll pick up the lunch tab.

If I had the means to get the CTS-V I would have... AMAZING car... and American cars are crazy easy and cheap to make fast... all Im planning for my car is intake (already have), LT headers, possibly an axle back for sound really and a tune and Im pretty much set to run mid to high 12's lol

What are your plans for your CTS-V bob? It sure is beautiful!

hahahaha. Great reaction.

I have been keeping my eye on this car. Part of me says go German... the other part says get this. I'm not looking for a car anytime soon, so it will be an ongoing battle for a little while
