Is my girlfriend's car haunted??

Hey, so basically my gf is making me post this for her....

She was driving up to Vermont yesterday to meet me, and apparently at one point the gas pedal floored itself. She wasn't on cruise control and she had just passed a graveyard, so obviously she tells me that the car is haunted.

It's an '00 Celica, automatic. I can't think of what caused it, does anybody have a clue??

Look for a vacuum leak and throttle cable/cruise cable needing lube

She probably activated cruise control by mistake so naturally when she tapped the brakes, it canceled itself.

Hmm...intersting ideas, I'm still not really sure myself. We're driving back from vermont today and this time I'll be in the drivers seat, so I'll let you guys know if there's any more paranormal activity with the gas pedal.

In days gone past, I've had a control computer go bad and floor the accelerator in an automatic station wagon. Randomly. That was entertaining.

I heard there was a safety recall for 00-01 Celicas as these early builds were susceptible to being possessed by the supernatural. Search for Toyota TSB-00-01-Christine
