My G35 Pics

Since I just joined your forum not too long ago, I figured I would post up some pics of my 07 G35 Sport. You guys have a great group of members here.

Thanks for the welcome. Actually, I am not driving it in the winter as I have a QX4 for the crappy road conditions. It's currently just sitting in my garage waiting for spring.

Btw, the Coupe isn't mine, it's a friends.

Love those Infinitis, eh? I just bought a G35 6 days ago, a leftover '06, and I couldn't be happier. 180 miles on the odo so far, so I haven't tested all 280 hp!

Congrats on your 07, and welcome to, uh, ACURAzine.

BTW, I've also joined g35driver.com as fast-tl...

I wasn't the biggest fan of the chrome trunk lip at first, but it is growing on me.

Hey, its the OT forum where all talk is appreciated!
Nice car... i definately like the newer look to it, its more aggressive. I especially like that they did with the interior, leaps and bounds over the older ones.

Congrats and best of luck!

hmm not bad, you can tell its a nice luxury car, but its just missing something. I like the coupe design better. I think its the roundedness of the car I dont like. You can see it beginning with the elongated oval shape of the front grill which extends to the rest of the car. Too many hyundai's have this rounded shape.

This is simply personal preference tho, which doesnt detract from the merits of the car.

The coupe for me will always catch my eye. The shape of the rear, defines the car and the rest compliments it.

I am assuming the G35 guys lifted that GSpot nickname from here seeing how the BMW GS has been produced for 20 years now. "Gelande Strasse" I believe is what it stands for in Germany.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=3

But I really like your car...if I could have gotten the dealerships in Kentucky to negotiate a little on the price of the 07 I would not have purchased my 2006 TL (which I also love). I thought it would be cool to own a BMW GS AND a Infinti G35. I could have had a garage full of "G" rides like you do.

What's the G35S? Is that a Canadian designation only?

The front 3/4 shot looks agressive as hell. Great improvement over the last generation. Awsome. Congrats.

How is the road/ tire noise in there and how are the heated seats... wasn't somebody hear complaining about them?

The 'S' badge is for sport models. They have them in the U.S. too.

the one thing i don't like about it is the 'S' badging for the sport models....too closely resembles the corolla 'S'.

C'mon Greenie, it's obvious that all Infiniti owners secretly yearn for front wheel drive!

I think the black and chrome looks the best but I seriously hate that wing, I would rip it off personally if I saw it.

Very nice!!

The current lease deals on the 07 G35 Journey are fairly competitive (3,285 dn/399-mo/39mos/12k-yr).

You make a good point. This "Car Chat" is one of the better ones imo, which is sort of why I troll around here even though I don't own an Acura.

The road noise has been significantly reduced compared to my 03 G Sedan. I was surprised at how quiet the cabin is at 70mph. Yes, there have been some owners that have complained about very low heat on the drivers seat. Apparently, it's a crossed wire that is causing the issue.

I completely agree, which is why I decided to join your site. G35Driver and Acurazine are the only two forums that I am a member of.

Ahh... a plot to slowly take over cartalk !! Brilliant !! What else you working on ??

I do realize that we've got one of the best OT forums out there, but it just struck me as weird for someone with a new G35 to join an acura forum.

Now I understand why...

The more the merrier... I think that why we've got such a good OT forum. Even tho we are an acura forum, we've got lots of members who own cars that aren't acuras. Lots of members who sold their acura tend to stay on too...

IMO, a Sedan will never be as sleek and sexy and its Coupe counterpart. Unfortunately, a Coupe just doesn't fit my lifestyle at the moment. Here's another picture comparing the two.

You know what makes the car even sexier... the rims. Those are some freakn nice stock rims. I wish Acura would get a little sportier with their rims so we dont have to spend more mula. (sorry, no offense RonJon )

I've found that alot people think the second generation G35 looks too similiar to the first generation. While you can still tell the second generation is still a G, I think they look very different. Maybe it's because I've owned both and can really see all the differences. Anyways, here are a couple of comparison pics between an 06 and 07.

i think a lot of the people making comments that the 1st and 2nd gen are too similar are used to see extreme changes from one generation to the next rather than evolutionary changes the more commonly take place.

for example the 2nd gen. TL and 3rd gen. TL are extremely different. The current accord and prev. accord were extremely different. This is a good thing once in awhile, but in Acura's case, since they dont' even have a brand direction yet, they are constantly changing (first they want to be conservative/value oriented, then they want to be performance oriented, then they want to be tech oriented...make up your minds already!). Same with BMW...their prev. generation of cars is a lot different than todays, but tomorrows will be more of an evolution than a complete makeover.

Anyone who knows cars would be able to tell the difference between the g35 generations. Otherwise, they don't know cars and think a prelude looks like a cl-s because it has 2 doors. And of course there are some 'fanbois' around here who have to find any reason to put a non-Honda product down, no matter how stupid or blatantly wrong their reasoning is.
