Motortrend Comparo: GS460 vs XF vs 550i vs E550

Wow it won in Edmunds comparo too. Just right about the time when Ford decides to sell Jaguar.

Ford really is the Ziggy of automakers. If Jag could add a respectable entry level sedan in the $35-45k range they will officially be back in the game.
I wonder how the Infiniti M50 would fare in this contest....though I suspect it would bump the XF to 2nd place.

Ive always been a huge fan of Jaguar... (yes, even the X and Stypes...)
But this car is just incredible. This thing is placed below the XJ correct? Im interested in seeing if the XJ's next redesign follows the same lines of this new XF.

Rear seat passengers, on the other hand, enjoy ample room in all directions. Soft wood treatments and rich interior colors really help the M stand apart from the competition.
Anywhooo in comparo test with most mainstream publishers, the Infiniti M seems to come in first place more often than not:

Some people assume that just because it's a Nissan product that it must have an interior from a 2002 Altima.

however, i do agree with F23A4 that there is a bias against nissan/infiniti interiors because they are nissans/infinitis.
i think they've come a long way over the past few years.

people like to tout how great acura interiors are, but just 5 years ago, Acura interiors were looking like this:
Anyone have an urge to go bowling?
And I like the current RL's interior design and layout better than the Infiniti M's interior, from the cool blue ambient lighting to the rear window and rear door sunshades, but after test driving both extensively and owning an M, there are more cheap interior bits in the current RL than there are in the M.

The rl interior at that time was just as bad, if not even more dated.
At least the plood was normal color on that rl.

I disagree with the I35 though. IMHO and though not top flight, it had an interior that I wish my 02 Maxima possessed.
That said, all of the cars mentioned by Jaber are entry level. The subject cars in this thread are premium level, whose predecessors should have better quality than the entry level models.
