I heard that 95db is legal. I'm going to take it to a refree sometime this week. I'm going to fight this because i know it's legal. The cop was just waiting for someone to pull over and give a ticket to for no reason.

..just yesterday, I was going to work... in semi traffic, I'm driving on a 3 lane road (NOT freeway), I'm in the far left lane... I noticed a cop to my right cruising along at the same speed, in the far right lane... I, honestly, watched how... of ALL the cars in front of him... his attention was drawn towards the ONE car that had mods... NOTHING too rice... but it was Santra with cheesy aftermarket wheels and maybe some stickers... then I watched how the cop entered this guy's plate into the screen... and sure enough...the next move was to pull him over...

Maybe he has priors or outstanding tickets... who knows? BUT the point is... The cop's attention was drawn to the ONE car that was modded (I was driving my Acura which is stock) it was weird to see how the cop reacted from the very beginning... Literally, from the second he "scanned" across the way of all the cars... he attention drawn to ONE car... punched in the plate... turning his lights on...

the driver was Hispanic btw

YES!! modded cars will attract more attention.....when i used to have my golf and tc they both used to have exhaust and cai and they made a lot of noise....cops used to follow me for no reason....since ive gotten the tl and it just drives smooth no problems.

Yeah, but this cop told me he was giving me a citation for the tip of the exhaust. I know there's no such reason. He just had nothing better to do.

If your car's exhaust tip sticks out beyond the bumper cover, you can be ticketed, IIRC. The Vehicle section for that violation will be written on the ticket.
Same with wheels/tires that extend beyond the body/fender lines.

Well, the cop was just making excuses cuz my exhaust doesn't stick out at all. It's the same length as a stock bumper. What it says on the ticket is cvc 27151-modified exhaust. He just had nothing better to do. Stupid cops!
