Me Wasting Gas (Video Inside)

I decided to shoot a short video my Accord now that I'm totally done with the exhaust.

I pass by a dead end street that runs through the middle of a farm on the way home from work when I take back roads, so last week I set up the tripod and launched the car a few times so I could hear what it sounds like from the outside. It was pretty fun and I'm pretty happy with the final outcome.

Here's the exhaust set-up: J-Shift J Pipe --> J-Shift Test Pipe --> Custom Bent 2.5" Mid Pipe --> 2.25" Y Pipe --> '03 Acura CL TypeS Mufflers

Tell me what you guys think. I know it's no NSX or CTS-V, but I'm purdy proud of my little Accord!

While I can't watch the video meow since I'm at work. I'll watch it as soon as I get a chance to critique your exhaust note.

Does sound pretty good. Kind of makes me want to go that route with my 07 AV6.

Thanks for the positive comments everyone! What I love most about it is it's not too loud, doesn't drone on the highway or around town and once over 4k RPM the V2 takes over with a deep grow. It does sound great from the inside, too. I'll have to make a video of that next.

thats how a honda v6 should sound...not like those riced out fart can mufflers. How do you think this would stack up against your old 03 CL-S?

Nice sound. We did an exhaust on an AV6 like yours recently and it sounded about the same. Somewhat expected considering we used the same piping as you did. Sounds good tho man

I couldn't agree more. Not only in sound but in looks. I love the sound of the GReddy Evo on the 7th Gen AV6 but it looks like you can fit a basketball in each muffler. Just not my style now that I'm 30+ y/o.

I think the Accord would put at least a car length on the CL-S in the 1/4 mile, but that's mainly due to the Accord being a 6spd vs. the CL being an auto. The CL-S shinned when flooring it at highway speeds but definitely not in the 0-60 category.

Sounds great. Very nice setup. I really like the AV6-6. They are great all around cars with some serious balls.

Great sound. I also can't believe you can chirp your tires in 2nd gear in an AV6. Learned something!

Great choice in car, love that body style AV6 and the Gen prior the most. Nice exhaust note there too. You should make a vid of how your V2 sounds after the V-tech crossover sometime.

LOL, is it that surprising? Stock it's rated at 240hp and has a 6 speed manual so even pre-mods I was chirping 2nd easily.

Thanks. I have a video I posted on YouTube of the before and after the V2 install and you can hear the crossover, but it was pre-exhaust so it's all intake noice. Eh, what the hell, here it is. I never knew I made funny faces when shifting until I watched it. I do the same thing when I play the guitar. Go figure.
