The making of an E46...
Here's a 22-minute video of the process of building an E46. From bending the sheetmetal, to driving the car onto the hauler. It's amazing how professional the workers are, and how clean it is.
I visited the Spartanburg, South Carolina BMW plant a few years back. They built the X5 and the Z3 there. Now they build the Z4, Z8 and X5. It was simply stunning.
Compared to domestic brands, where one of my dad's friends found a half-eaten cheeseburger inside the door panel of his brand new DeVille stinking up the entire car, you just simply realize how efficient, effective, and amazing BMW is.
Without further ado, here's the link.

I'm not that impressed with BMW anymore. You know it’s bad when American reliability is rated higher than German.
The 2000 740i my in-laws own mysteriously went out of gear and into neutral. Good thing they were on a quiet back road. They couldn't get it to go back into gear. The car didn't respond to shifter movements. They had it towed it to the dealer and ofcourse it works fine there. The dealer tells them there is nothing wrong with the car and to take it home. Now would you want to drive that?
Good thing BMW has a certified pre-owned warranty. Since they bought it 2 years ago it’s been in the shop at least a half dozen times for major repairs. Besides the tranny problems its had its front suspension replaced, most of the cooling system replaced (radiator/hoses) and a few other electrical issues.
I told them to dump the car and get a Lexus but they like the German stuff.
