M3 or S4

Okay guys i want your opinon, would you rather get a 95 automatic m3 or an 2000-2001 tiptronic S4. And it has to be automatic for various reasons, please just give me your opinon on which you would rather have. Also which car would have more mods available for it.
Thanks alot

i would get the s4, im not a big fan of older bmws, they look like the body pannels sag or something, not sure what it is. not sure about the performance (dont follow old cars well) but the s4 will give you triptronic compared to an old automatic. plus your gettin alot less mileage on the s4.

well is this an everyday car? then i say for winters the s4 might be a better way to go. The 95 m3 doesnt have traction control... so that wouldnt be fun in snow.

Simple: why would you want an 8 year old car when you could have a comparable 2 year old car?

Actually, the M3 is very reliable. More so than the S4. No turbos to blow on the M3

I prefer the driving experience of the M3 more, it would be my preference

BMW's have alot of electrical problems , especially the power window motors and sunroof motors . It would drive him nuts not to be under warranty.

Among the choices you gave us, get the S4, no doubt, simply because it's 5-6 years newer.

The S4 would be the better buy. Since they both are automatics. Also its nice to have a turbo car. I heard you can get like 400 or 500hp from an S4.

A S4 has so much potential. I would get the M3 if it were a little newer.

Which ever way you go, both are high maintenance. Just be certain to go the certified used route to play it safe(r). Also keep in mind a few things about the E36 M3:
- the auto model performs nothing like the 5speed and is NO quicker than the CL-S (though it'll handle better)
- wont have the superior ergonomics of the S4
- the 1995 model was the first year for the E36 M3 (so bugs aplenty)
- smaller interior than the S4

Peace
