m3 owners complain too.....

It's not just our CLs!!!!

this is review from www.e46fanatics.com:

Brand new m3......

As others have reported, the rear deck is rattling like the rusty fenders on a '76 Camaro. If you find a song with just the right lows, it is absolutely unbearable. I saw the fix posted by a fellow who inserted some foam to suppress the noise (with great details on the procedure as well). I was thinking about doing that, too, but then I figured since the 1200 mile service is right around the corner I'll just make the dealership deal with it.

not to start a war or anything people just need to realize

On of my co-worker has a 2001 M3, and his shit rattles and sqeeks more than mine, same with anothers 2000 A4... I think it's just depend on what kind of environment a car has been through... (roads, garage kept(?), etc..)

M3 isnt built proof guys. Of course it will have some problems just like any car.

This is a known problem with the HK subs of any e46, most have rattles from it. Thats why i got rid of the HK system completely

Know matter what car you have, there is no such thing as problem free or perfect. There will always be one or more things that will bother you. Just remember a car is a machine and machines have a tendency to malfunction just as humans do.

My mom has a 1 month old 330ci convertible and it has had the battery die on her twice after driving it to the grocery store. Oh yea, the car has 360 miles on it.

No, but she had the same problem with the SC430 but that was the wiring, not the battery. She should take the car in but hasnt had the chance to yet. I have the same feeling that it is the wiring.

i think rodents may be eating away at the wiring underneath the hood of the car...the same thing happened to a few people i know...they all thought it was a battery, but turns out the wiring was ate up...esp. after realizing the same battery problem kept occuring no matter the make of their car

What, do they make Bimmer wires outta candy, maybe some German licorice...?

I've never heard of rodents eating wires...Who knows though... My dog used to eat bottle caps, so I guess it's possible...
