kptechnologies was involved at some point, I believe they took over making them. Ian Cull started it, then it went to FES, and maybe now it's kptechnologies.

I've had mine for close to 3 years. Maintenance hasn't been too bad. Replaced belt, plugs and tensioner while I was in there for a 17% pulley. Went with RMW 450cc injectors when I got the RMW race exhaust and header. Did Vorshlag plates when the top strut mount tore. Then got Swift springs and Bilsteins although the OEM Sport suspension was fine. Car has been trouble free for the most part. Only issues have been a broken cam position sensor, O2 sensors and I busted the crank damper while hooning around so I got a ATI super damper. Oh and I did Vibratechnics mounts throughout because a group buy popped up. Oh and poly LCA bushings.. Just normal stuff that you want to uprage if you plan to hit the track.
Sounds like you've had some serious work done!

Ever heard of Precision Auto Werks?

After digging them up, they're 25 to 30 mins away from me. I'm planning on going there this weekend to check them out. They seem pretty legit when it comes to all things Mini, but we'll see.

Not sure how close Ian Stewart at Maitland Importers is to you out in Florida. He has set a few records racing his MINI and has a shop out there. I hear nothing but good things when Colin mentions him. There are a few guys in Florida with built MINI's, I bought my cam from a guy who upgraded to a stroker engine. Make an intro on RMW, I'm sure they will point you in the right direction.

Yup, they guys over at RMW are pretty cool.

Maitland Importers is out in Orlando; which is +/- 2 hours.

I'll keep you posted on P.A.W.; according to the website, there's a dyno there

Jan at RMW does remote tuning and tune party's. Check in with him to see what his schedule is like. He's the go-to guy for R53 tuning.

Yes indeed but Marcel came from a "stanced" CL so I came to rattle him a little bit.

Twincharge? Interesting. Most of the twincharged MINI's have been a failure... not enough space for cooling.

Any reason why you didn't opt for a Rotrex or wait for the TVS kit from RMW?

Kit's good for 300 to 350.

I'll be content with low boost & good tune; +/-300

Most, not all.

Ran into a couple of awesome threads; this one in particular which I'll be replicating:

Kit with FMIC

RMW's taking too long... Rotrex, meh... I guess I want to be different? Wouldn't be the first time

The Doppler! I've read that entire build. What ECU are you going with? Motec or Vipec?

Didn't know it was called the doppler; thread read Superturbo. Lol

My tuner is very familiar with Vipec; more than likely going that route.

I think I remember it being called that in his garage thing or vehicle name field.

Best of luck! Keep us posted

Marcel, if you need to get in touch with Andy (Gerzand), I can likely text him. He's a busy dude, but he's awesome and funny...he just gets hit up by billions of people now since they know about his knowledge so he probably doesn't respond to too many strangers.

Kit's on route!

Purchased used from Kinetech Motor Werkes out of North Carolina; they build custom kits / upgrades for Minis / BMWs. Been working Tim the co-owner; super cool dude who threw in a shit of load of stuff: Bytetronik FA53 Kit for tuning, 550 injectors, custom fuel rail, boost controller, and a bunch of other goodies to plug and play.

Excited!!!!!!!!!!!

Parlent très peu français ces jours ... lol

Ksenia parle en fait la langue maternelle exclusivement à notre petit Michele. At the house - Russian as primary, French secondary. English is inevitable since it will be taught at the academy anyway.

I too have been working on my Russkiy tongue .. very difficult language to catch on as an adult.

Especially since it shares NOTHING with the other base languages...shoot, you living in South Florida, you might as well add Spanish to the mix,

Your french is much better than mine...I can speak it conversationally but my conjugation and writing are that of a 5 year old. Great move to teach the little one all those, English will come later. When you're a kid you never think about if you're saying it right or not so it's much easier.

Trust me when I say, you're good dude!

My parents actually get upset with me when I speak Frenchlish lol

I tell them all the time; "It is what it is when you don't continually converse to keep the chops up..."

Yeah, we totally missed the boat to speaking Spanish. Heck, our nanny only speaks Russian

for real...my Dad lives here and NEVER talks to us in French...so it's not that far off that we don't practice at all. I sometimes even dread talking to my grandmother because I know I am gonna get stuck and sound like a little kid.

wow, how did i miss this. You sir have some cojones.

I gotta say i cringe at the sight of those components. Believe me i loved it once it was all said and done with S/C installed on my TL but during the planning phase and the install phase i was shitting my pants on the daily. Never ever before did i mod a car anywhere near this level before the TL. Good luck!!
