G35 is close to a 330, but it's no where near a M3...
Methinks you've got the M3 and 3 series confused...
M3 does not equal 330...

ANYWAYS..... was gonna respond back on page 2 but my post got erased....
Lexus is hardly overrated. It's the luxury division of Toyota, but that doesn't mean shit. If someone can't tell the difference between a Camry and an ES350 then they shouldn't even be talking. And ES350 vs. TL, worlds of difference. Driven both, and I really like how the TL handles, but I really like the ride of the ES350. When you're in the TL, you'll think "it handles pretty good for a sedan" whereas if you're in the ES you'll just be amazed at how nice the car is.
The ES interior is sweet. A bit smaller than the TL. The seats are really supple, even the oh-shit bars are really nice, and the steering wheel and shift knob feel really great in your hand. Not really a fan of wood trim in general, but its pulled off well.
My sister went to a dealer and they were a bunch of dickheads, but that doesn't mean that they all are. Their service truly is the best. When we complained about a small scuffmark on a headrest, the salesman went down there and cleaned it himself. And we didn't even bought the car yet!

^ Debates can go a certain direction and a mod will respond the same way any member would. And the one time he did get frisky (that I saw) he apologized b/c he mixed up posters.
Plus, if you don't like being called names, then don't call people names. Just b/c someone goes after a mod doesn't mean they can't come back.
Anyway, there's been enough of the hijacking in here. Seems like everything is cool and back on track... so let's continue that way...

I drove an 06 TL and 06 IS350 back-to-back about a month ago and my impression was that the Lexus had an impeccable interior but, honestly, so did the Acura. Add in the Acura's larger cabin (and by that, I mean useable back seat) and $10,000-lower price, and it appears to me that Lexus is trading quite a bit on its name. Hence, the idea that they're a little over-rated.
I credit Lexus' advertising, quite honestly. They've created an image of luxury and exclusivity that makes people raise their eyebrows when you say you've just bought a Lexus in a way they just don't do if you say you've bought an Acura. I think Acura spent a lot of time with just the Legend as a real luxury car. The much more ubiquitous, not to mention ricer-friendly, Integra spent a lot of time as the face of Acura on the road. The LS flagship and ES entry models went a long way to establishing Lexus' public persona, the Legend and TL didn't.
I think Acura is going to shift this -- see the elimination of the RSX -- as they establish the TSX as the entry sedan, the TL as the everyday lux, and the RL as the techno-rich flagship.

Well the Lexus is RWD and quite a bit faster. There is a reason why it costs more, although I do think that the TL is the best bargain.
You pretty much always get what you pay for.

And have you ever driven a 400h? For a SUV it has a pretty sporty suspension, and the performance out the hybrid with the cvt tranny is butter smooth. Much better then the FX45 which feels heavy on the highway. But I did have a lot fun driving a Murano through some back mountains highways twisties.
But you can hang to all of your preconceived notions.

yes they are great cars... I Love them.
But E46 M3 beats it in pretty much every category.. maybe except for looks that is personal preferences.
I have a lot of friends with M3.. *down here in LA, who doesnt?"
no matter on the street or on the track. M3 is just a much better performance car than G35.
on the other hand, My s2k can corner faster than M3 but get pulled once coming out of corner

Like someone said before in this post you get what you pay for. Just because you dont see exactly where your 40G's went on the outside doesnt mean it isnt worth the price. I know for a fact that Lexus spends a little extra "Hushing" there cars. Especially since they're image revolves around being quite. In my OPINION (Covering my ass so you no one in here thinks im trying to make up facts) Lexus quality is better. I own a 2003TL and my family owns a couple of Lexus' and BMW's. Im going to leave BMW out of this just to stay on topic. Lexus' are hands down wayyyyy more comfortable than Acura. But where lexus wins in comfort Acura wins in sportiness (I know its not a word lol). Service is great with both although with Lexus they are quicker to kiss your ass and shine your shoes with the slightest hint of dissatisfaction. Never been dissapointed with'em but I've never driven a Lexus that was as fun to drive as an Acura. I dont see where any Lexus can be considerd cheap. They're interiors are top notch. The only problem is when im driving I might have the urge to turn over and take a nap lol. Not a true car for the driving enthusiasts but worth the money when it comes to everything else. Looks differ with taste but when it comes down to it it depends on what your looking for (Duh lol).
Comfort = Lexus
Sport = Acura
Comfort = Lexus
Sport = Acura
