Launch control system on manual 2010 Corvettes explained

GREAT video. Do enjoy the multiple references to the GT-R and its warranty-trashing "Launch Control". Now ANYONE can get a 3.65 0-60 time in a Corvette.

I wish I had this on my CTS-V...though one of the tuners on the Cadillac forums has created an optimized tune for automatic Vs...in a portable handheld...and I intend to purchase it.

The General is going all out now... It's about time.

It would be nice the see launch control standard on the G8 GXP, and CTS-V as well.

Very interesting. Corvette's are one of the few good things GM has to offer at the moment (Besides the CTS-V). I hope GM pulls through this hurricane, they have made alot of historic masterpieces and the Corvette is one of them.

Just watched again. I LOVED the demos of the various types of launches and why they were and were not good, and the geek analysis of the launches.

Damn, I want GM to survive JUST because of this kind of stuff. If it doesn't, I'm going to seriously consider hermetically sealing my V as the height of GM production, store it, and take it to a Mecum auction in 30 years.

You had better buy another one to do that with, and drive the hell out of the one you already have.

sweeeet.

regarding nissan, i remember reading a publication where they did 20 launches in a day and the tranny held up fine. so to bring in a GTR a few weeks later and complain of busted tranny, it's kind of inevitable if you're launching it 20+ times in a day. but that's beside the point.

the corvette's still panty-dropping awesome
