Kinda thinking of jumping ship. Any comments on these cars?

A fully loaded Toyota Camry, Nissan Maxima or Nissan Altima....

Looked at the Lexus GS 300 but that is a rear wheel drive. No can do since we get snow here in WA.

I looked at the Altima to replace my old '01 CL-S, but couldn't get over the cheap feel of the interior. Sure the '05 Altima interior looks nicer than the '04, but it still uses hard plastics and cheap materials. The 3.5VQ engine was very nice though. No comment on the Max as I never considered it.

The Camry didn't do it for me either. The dash is "blah" and looks like it belongs in a truck with bench seats -- you feel so far away and everything is facing straight back instead of being driver oriented. Plus no stick on the V6 models.

So ... I ended up getting a silver 2004 Accord Coupe V6 6MT w/ Navi at invoice ($26,131) this week. Now I just need to wait for the car to arrive as it hasn't been built yet... *sniff* The exterior ain't the greatest, but I love the interior. I'll finally have a stick again after driving automatics since 2000.

They are all "great" cars if you're ready for the rocking chair. After driving a CL-S, all will be very BORING!

Considering he wants camry, maxima, altima, i think the new TL is out of his price range.

GET the maxima 04-05.... projector HID, nice sunroof(s), VQ35, i like the interior, no wheel gap, Look like GS(from the back), A LOT OF ROOM, handling is just as good as CLS, A LOT OF features,

altima is ugly and camry is a boring car that handles like a boat.

If you looked at the GS, you have to look at the TL. I would have gone for it if I didnt need to save $ for something else after my accident. I got a TSX instead but the TL is def worth the extra dough. You may want to look at the G35x also... AWD would come in handy in WA.

I used to have a Camry before getting the CL-S. I test drove the ones that were out then (2003) when I was checking out the Solara for the heck of it. My grandfather has a 2001. Even the V6 is boring. I know a few people with the Altima and they really like it even with the 2.5 engine (with manual). Can't say anything about the max.
And in most cases RWD in snow if fine, you just need blizzaks and common sense

Out of all three of those a fully loaded V6 Altima would be the way to go IMO.

Hate the look of the new max.

FWD in snow is overrated. IMO

Go get RWD and a set of winter tires, you will be fine. Traction control helps alot too.

Or how about a Audi A4

Get a 2005 Altima, out of those 3. The new interior is much nicer and they made it look decently more aggressive. I sometimes wish I would have gotten one instead of my CL-S.

I rented a 04' maxima last christmas and the thing had really nasty torque steer when I punched it. When I was on pavement with water or snow I didn't dare punch it. I liked the power that it had but it just didn't handle. As for the inside ... I'd have to say its not a total old mans car but its sure is close. I've never tried an altima but aren't they just a poor mans maxima? I'd stick with the lexus.

My mom has a 2003 Camry with the sports package (moonroof, rear spoiler, suspension) and it's a great car, but it's pretty
