Just Wanted to Share some Pics of my Altima

Hey guys,

I sold my 02 ABP TL-S July 2009, and the same day I picked up an 09 2.5 SL Altima. I've done a few cosmetic mods (they are all listed in my signature). Anyway, I finally got it cleaned up and snapped some pics with my Droid X, so I thought I'd post 'em up since I don't usually put up pics of my car. Thanks

Looks nice how does it drives? My cuzz is going to get a 2.5 L Altima too when he gets his tax return.

I love it, a bit bland, but the springs helped it handle slightly better... I miss having a v6 though, especially since I have had plenty of experience with the V6 Altima as well. However once you get on the highway it pulls respectably when changing lanes or merging.

Thats the reason why my cuzz is getting the 2.5 instead of the 3.5 = Gas Mileage, at the same time Nissan's 4 cylinder has good torque.

truthfully, the gas mileage isnt much better, however it is marginally better, plus the 2.5 takes regular while the 3.5 takes premium, so overall yeah i save a bit in gas. Plus insurance is also a bit cheaper. it adds up, so I see your cousin's point in getting the 2.5. I wouldn't say the torque is great with the CVT transmission though. My girlfriend's 09 Accord 4 cyl sedan feels a lot quicker off of the line (in regular driving scenarios, not street racing lol).

I really didn't like the way those felt to drive. They are solid cars, bit very bland.

that's a bit of a downgrade from a TL-S even though it's newer. that bland and round shape never really appealed to me. clean looking car! any interior pics?

I never got the whole murdered out theme.. I am not fan of tinted tail lights.

Looks clean though.

Not bad looking. It just 'needs' a new set of shoes.

i agree on the downgrade aspect. I got the altima because i live 450 miles away from any family, and I wanted a car with less of a reliability issue. This was what I was able to afford at the time. The TL-S went through 2 transmissions under my ownership, one of which was in Virginia on the side of I-95 on a road trip back to NJ, needless to say that was my breaking point.

The murdered out look comes from my lust for owning a black car ever since I got my license. this was my first opportunity with a black car and I went a bit over board but I love it. I agree on the wheels, they are a must but I put my modding on hold (explanation is below).

As for interior pics, ill go take some with my LED interior lights on. Hopefully they will show up with my droid X camera.

FWIW its a long story but I may end up getting an older car I can put miles on and send this car up north to my father to use as a commuter ca. so he is going to possibly buy the altima out bc he has a lease currently, and is possibly taking a job that will require him to use a car instead of public transportation. here is what I have my eyes on... http://www.openroadacuraofeastbrunsw...357&vk=1404926

... shameless plug, here is the ol' TL-S

Nice car! Nothing wrong with an Altima (though some rims would help the look immensely)....

thanks guys! yeah alex, i have been wanting to go with the maxima/350z touring wheels (the 18's) they seem to be the most affordable for me and will give me a much more aggressive look than the 16's give me.. im sick of seeing people chrome out and give the altima a "ghetto" look to it, and so I wanted to keep it clean if I end up going aftermarket on the wheels I will go with a gunmetal 19'' wheel. I also am going to paint all of the emblems a gunmetal color to keep the dark theme going, but not make it one dimensional and go black from head to toe. a spoiler is on the to do list, as well as fog lights if i end up keeping the car for the long haul. I think I am going to wait until i need new tires to upgrade the wheels though which wont be much longer haha.

for now though, I am about to head outside in this beautiful weather and give my grill a few coats of paint since the rocks are taking a toll on it.

I liked that Altima. I thought the interior was light-years ahead of the previous version. Looks good
