Just bought a bunch of goodies for the GTO

Just got a head and cam pkg, throttle body, cai, longtube headers for the gto

Patriot 6.0L CNC Ported Z06 Stage II Heads
2.055/1.57 Patriot Valves, Patriot Springs, Bronze Guides, Ti Retainers, 5 Angle Valve Job
Lunati Cam
Lunati Push Rods
GM Gasket Kit with NEW ARP Head Bolts
Stainless Works Long Tube Headers with Off Road Y-Pipe
Headers Coated by Air Borne Coatings
ARP Header Bolts
RollerMaster Timing Chain

This package made 431 RWHP on a 2002 WS6 Trans Am

&

MTI Throttle Body
Polished billet aluminum high flow throttle-body. Flows well over 1000 CFM and bolts directly to stock, LS6 or the new FAST intake manifold. Beautifully high polished finish with black anodized linkage and "MTI Racing" machined on the top. Comes complete and ready to install with 3 stainless allen head screws. This is an incredible appearance item that makes great power on the dyno! MTI has witnessed a 10 - 12 Rwhp gain on a cam only 6-speed Trans-Am.

&

Speed Inc. 2004 GTO High Flow Induction System
Our high-flow induction system helps your GTO and Lumina SS breath! The system's 4" diameter smooth induction tube allows for great flow. A high-flow cone air filter allows more air to pass into your LS1 while filtering it.
Dyno proven gains of 13-18 RWHP. Cold air enclosure box coming soon!

&

SLP 85mm MAF
SLP’s high-performance 85mm mass-airflow sensor flows a whopping 895 CFM (90 more than the stock 75mm MAF)—enough to improve engine output by up to 10 horsepower. Or, remove the screen (not recommended on street cars) for an incredible 1000 CFM of air flow! This lightweight composite unit weighs one pound less than the factory MAF and is fully capable of supporting engine applications making over 600 horsepower. Specifically calibrated to provide optimum performance in GTO applications!

It all gets installed the end of the month I cant wait

I’m sure it’s gonna run GREAT, but spending that much money aren’t you getting darn close to a what something like a new Vette would cost ???
And a Vette would be faster even leaving it stock.

Granted, I love the GTO and I had a blast driving one, but I don’t know if I’d buy one and then dump 5-10 grand into it.
More power to ya though

Not considering what I got the car for after all the rebates I am still under sticker price on the gto.

This set up will allow me to keep my warranty whereas the procharger wouldnt. the ati setup would be around 9k installed for similar results

Way to go, . I'd rather have a unique, fast-as-shit GTO than an original Vette.

Who told you that those parts are going to be allow you to keep your warranty? You might find a dealer to warrany small things, but if something big happens such as a blown diff, tranny, or engine you are out of luck. My friend got his procharger installed and dyno tuned(you will have to do this too) for a lot cheaper than 9K.

Yea my friend knew the owner of the local Chevy dealership, in fact he bought nearly 20 Vans/trucks from them for his business. The dealer had no control over the larger items, there is a "district" service writer that comes and inspects the car. I know this was the process when my friend blew his engine in his Z06.

I spoke with the peeps doing the install and they say I should get an exhaust , but now the problem is I wanted to wait till 05 came out so i could get dual exit exhaust. Here are my current options...whatta ya think?

slp

corsa

borla

speedbuilt and cut the bumper

Cut the bumper. The GTO needed a dual setup from the start.

Hence like you said, the 05 refresh.

Definitely, speedbuilt and cut the bumper. It would look 10x better with dual exhaust.

WTF you talking about?

He's going to have 450RWHP, Vette has 400 CRANK hp.

So he'll have a 100hp advatange over the Vette.

It's a small ammount of $$ to get to 500hp guys, I have no clue WTF some of you are thinking...

450RWHP is way too optimistic. The C6 weighs nearly 600 lbs less, it's all about pwr/lbs.

Well after doing research all over the place it seems avg to get 430 whp with just heads and cam...not the rest so even if I get 430 whp with the weight disadvantage I think ill still have more hp than a stock vette for still under 30000. How can I go wrong?
