x2 on the touchless washes, but you can kiss any wax you have on bye-bye. They need to use more aggressive soaps which pretty much eliminate any paint protection you might have. Still better than the tunnel wash, though.

When I am unable to wash my car I go to car washes. In NC I try to go to Buff Masters in Wilmington. They basically are like other car washes but instead where the brushes would be they have people hand washing the car. The rest is the same without any brushes.

That sounds awesome! I wish we had something like that here - I smell a business plan brewing...

Oh, and another joy of owning a southern car, it doesn't have to endure a -20 degree day like today.

You are lucky you could get away without using PB Blaster or drilling for changing old suspension. Glad it went well though, A bolt on my right rear strut was seized when I did mine...not fun.

Even hand washes are susceptible... I don't trust the towels they use at most places. Rags are a more accurate term for 'em.

There used to be a place in Greensboro that had topless ladies washing your car in a similar fashion to what nj2pa2nc described. Doubt they were bringing it like the SBT, but are .

yeah basically the same thing, used over and over, on multiple cars, just like brushes (you may not get repetitive patterns like the brushes, because it is by hand)

That would be such a dilemna for most car enthusiasts...

On one hand... topless girls pressed against your window

On the other... dumb bimbos scratching your entire car...
