Yeah, I am originally a Masshole, I moved awhile ago, but still visit a lot. If you know of anyone with a Greenie left tell them to get it refurbished. My uncle did that and it passes inspection with flying colors each year. Luckily NC is a rear only state.
You could probably do a tow hook mount for inspection day.

Chief - I think black emblems on a white car are almost a must have. I dont think it would look as good on a black car.
The car is going into the shop tomorrow for PPF/Ceramic Coating so if anything I might have him debadge the 650i & xdrive. If I dont like it I can always put them back on

I have a good relationship with my mechanic so I'm just gonna ask him what it takes to pass that day. I would go tow hook before anything on the bumper

Beautiful car, congrats. And it makes sense. Just like relationships. You just finished a long term relationship with a partner that was pretty attractive, reliable, and sensible. But something was missing. Now you meet someone that is stunningly attractive, but high maintenance, and expensive tastes. You now get a lot of compliments, second glances, and it is a lot of fun. Sadly, these relationships often don’t end well, and only after a lot of pain and expenses. And you then return to a more stable Acura-type relationship. We have all been there, at least once, so enjoy the ride as long as you can!

^^^ I disagree 100% with this. The car that got me on this site was a CL-S. That thing gave me more headaches between 4 failed transmissions and warping brake rotors in 2 years than my 650 has given me (0 problems) in 6 years. Ditto the 335xi 6 speed also in the driveway.

This is another old thing Massachusetts I remember. I remember when inspection was every other year. Odd model years got an inspection in odd years and the same thing for even. At some point they switched it to every year.

The full Meisterschaft might be a little over the top. Drone is one my biggest pet peeves. Cant stand it and from what I've heard from other members, there is some cabin drone with that exhaust. Honestly pretty much any muffler/cat back system will have some drone
The reason for trying to buy it was the deal was too good to pass up and the seller was local in MA

^ Agree
I got the car back yesterday from the shop after having it PPF, Coated, and Tint. This is the first time I've ever had any type of film protection or coating on my car. I'm really excited to see how it holds up over time. I also went back to the same location I took the photos with my iPhone to compare them against the new 50mm lens. They have not been in Lightroom yet, this is just the raw photo
I'm still working on different angles for the photos. I really have no idea what I'm doing lol but its all trial and error. I honestly dont even know what mode to use on the camera

I'm assuming you're happy with the 50 suggestion? Those shots are DOPE as fuck.
I don't like when things shift too far from fun and artsy to sciency...
what I suggest is stick to program mode "P"....
ISO as low as you can with the lighting present...100 if the sun is out and about...
the higher obviously better for low light but too high will get grainy or leave the shutter open too long and get blurry
then the F stop to as close to 1.8 as you can as often as you can.
That's what works for me anyway.
Car looks fantastic and the pictures are just as good.
Kick ass.

sure thing, man...
the lens will usually limit what F you can use depending on what it's picking up in the depth of field...
so usually full sun with the car in the foreground and a nice background you can blur out I turn the knob to
F1.8 or as low (close) to that as you can get...sometimes it'll just max out at 2.4 or more...
Hope that makes sense.
ISO100 and F1.8 with good lighting will get you the best bokeh like the shots you did above. Excellent work.
Then if it's getting dark out...start going up to ISO400 or whatever until it takes a picture that's light enough to be usable
in Lightroom without too much (or any blurry)...even that can kinda be corrected with the sharpen function.

Perfect
On a side note I washed the car for the first time last night after getting the coating done. Holy moly is it cool to see the water beads just fly off. Using the air dryer makes it 10x easier

Added some new paddle shifters for no reason other than they look cool I never used them in the Type-S because the delay was brutal. The ZF8 in the 650 is 10000x better so we'll see

Paddles look good & seem to match the pattern on the dash.
I'd thought about some for the C before it went away, just never got around to it.

I've never had aftermarket wheels on a car before. The roads around here are atrocious and I'm scared the bigger wheels I go the more trouble I'll be in. Especially at this price point
* These will only be on during the summer - plan on keeping the stock setup for the winter
