I turned mine off since the very first time i got into the car and it has been off since. Forgot it is even there. If i wanted to save 0.5 mpg, i would just go easy on my gas pedal for 1 minute. It is much easier.

But, truth be told though- I went with the S4 logo...liked these the best. I will tell you, buy extras - your drivers side door will start to fade and get a halo around 6-9 months. For the most part, the rest of them will last...just the drivers side.

My stealership is running a special on black rings front and rear... only $299 installed.
My feeling on the puddle lights is I want them to light up puddles.

Yeah. Honestly, you can find them for about $130 and they only take a small flat head screwdriver to install, but you're right. I'm really in no hurry to get them.

I’m not much of a fan of them either. Sometimes I want to get in my car and take off with out alerting everyone around. So much for being low key, in that regard
I mean, if they were already on the car, all good. But to spend that much for them, otherwise... ehhhhh...

So I’ve been thinking about my own S4 aspirations. I’m now actively on the hunt. Nothing that meets my criteria, Canada wide though. I know it will take some time for something to pop up.
But... given that I’m looking for a 2016, it will still have warranty. I’m hoping in time the last year of the 6MT will hold its value better, so I don’t want to mess with the ECU. I just want to keep it untouched, as far as anyone is concerned.
Now, if I’m not mistaken, we should have JB4 available for our cars, no? It keeps the ECU completely untouched, and is connected after the ECU, if I’m not mistaken. Therefore you can remove it when taking your car to the dealership and it would not trip any ECU codes and void your warranty.... is that something you’d consider, Kurt? It doesn’t give you as much power as say a full APR tune, but, it still bumps it nicely and can accommodate some minor mods, I believe.
Personally, I think that will be the route I take. Still keeps everything appear unmolested.

Some people say JB4 and others are 100% detectable if the dealer runs a log and some say they never had any issues. So i guess it depends on the dealer, if they want to find it, they will.

Yah, but the fact that the dealer can find out if he had the JB4 before whether he removed it or not is what i am trying to tell Taco.
we know how dealers are, when there is no issue, they will try to act all cool and shit.... when shit goes south, you are on your own.

You are only 50% correct. It is a plug and play kinda thing and you can remove it when you visit dealership.. but IF you blow up your engine and you want the dealership to fix it under warranty, they will tell you that you had aftermarket tuning software.
