Jack Stands - Has anyone used Rennstand?
I saw these jack stands on a youtube video and they look pretty neat. I'm getting into diy maintenance on my acura ilx so was looking for something safe and easy to jack up as the jacking point on the ilx seems limited to behind the front wheels and in front of the back wheels.
Has anyone used Rennstand from ETAMFG? https://www.etamfg.com/shop.html?sto...ands-c66388472 I was googling reviews of Rennstand and noticed there are some from a company called Safe Jack. Not sure if it's the same company but their reviews seemed so so.
Let me know if you've used these jack stands or if you have any others you recommend? I live in Canada and bought some cheap ones at Canadian tire but now I'm doubting my decision.

There's absolutely no reason to spend $100 per stand.
Not sure what you're asking, as it's just a jack stand... If you have the funds and want a fancy stand, buy it!
You can absolutely use cheaper stands with the same exact results; safely prop the car up on stands.
You can also use any sturdy point of the car...ie; not limited to the jacking points behind the front wheels. One can use the subframes, one can use the control arms, etc

your ILX doesnt require heavy duty stands...
you can get away with a 2 ton jack stand...which would be ideal because your car weighs less than 2 tons..
also, heavy duty jack stands are not ideal for "sporty cars" that are low to the ground because heavy duty jack stands will be TALLER than a 2 ton stand.

I use the autozone branded duralast 2 ton jack stands...Have been for the past 11 years.
it's like $40 for 2 stands....
I bought 2 sets so that I can leave my car on all 4 stands.
I also have 2 harbor freight aluminum hydraulic jacks....One of them, I've had for 11 years as well.
one for the front end and one for the rear...
a few pumps and my car is up in the air at both ends...then slide the stands underneath.

I'm sure I have no idea.
I have 6 of these, they are sort of truck sized version of your normal jack stand.
Then 4 of these, which are, larger. Sort of a limited application though
I've never had an issue with the smaller craftsman/ big box store stand though, I just prefer the large ones as they have larger bases and don't move around so much when you have to get out that 10 lb sledge.
