I think I was treated pretty fair on my trade $27,000. I made out on the S4. I know the son-in-law of the Owner of Acura and Audi. He cashed in a favor to the higher ups and he came through for me. Remember my TL was in the shop once a month for the last year. I would tell you the price they made me sign a non disclosure agreement. ( thats how good the deal was).

The S4 (even the A4) is a sweet looking car. Then again, so's the TL. Why the tradeup so soon??

Good luck. Audi's have a less-than-good track record. Like Mercedes, there is a fair amount of questionable reliability.
Hope you have none of this and enjoy your new ride.

This was a concer of mine. Go check out JD powers The TL is getting hammered. Audi's are average.
Plus I get 4/50000 service, Bumber to Bumper.
I just put in gas and go!!

... unless you bought in which case "gas and go" will include a lot of service after 50k.
S4 is a great car but $50k for a car w/o full-screen navigation is insane. Gas mileage is also pretty tough with the 4.2L V8.

Trust me it was better than that!!!

Hey all,
I am a friend of Steve's and I was also very lucky to get to drive his all wheel drive, 6 sp beast. It is a little smaller inside than the TL (of which I love mine) but extremely tight, awesome seats with absolutely incredible acceleration. I was grinning all-day-long. I was not surprised when he showed up with his S4. I personally would miss the nav and the sound system but honestly at around 4 grand and beyond (up to the 7k redline) the S4 has a song all it's own. Thanks again for the DVD-A's Steve.

I rather get a M3 or Corvette anyday over an S4. I think the S4 is one powerful car, but like all other audis, it is jsut overpriced. The body on the S4 in my opinion is hideous. Your paying only for an engine and nothing else. M3 and Corvette have much better styling and are very powerful as well. That is my dream car (or maybe the M5...its just too much power).

.:KCCO:.
i was considering an audi when i was looking at purchasing the TL. i drove an A4 3.0 quattro. YES, it drives like a dream... 4 wheel drive, 25 percent to each wheel. the manual tranny in both cars can't be compared. the audi is just in a seperate class. but audi's are also infamous for having a lot of electrical problems. good luck with that bro.
S4 nice ride

Look at JD Powers
A real education is awaiting everyone who lloks at the JD Powers site. Just for "fun", compare our TL's ratings with the competition, and, although the TL has its share of squeeks, etc., one will find that it's certainly not the lowest rated car in its class. In particular, look at the '04 Chrysler 300 series. I certainly think I've gotten a fine car and have had zero complaints (other than an easy to fix rattle).

For similar money, I'd personally take a CTS-V. But I cant fault 6spzoom if he got a great deal on the S4.

you got that right... they are leasing 42mo @ 499/mo with 1995 down (special offers on audi's website...
That's where I was earlier this week - but chose the TL over the S4 (signed the paperwork this morning on an 05 TL Anthracite/Ebony 6MT+Navi :-D) cuz for the same monthly and less down, I'd be owning the TL in 4 years rather than giving the S4 back.
Plus the gadgets are really cool :-P

Well Dr. Murdock, for the most part I would have to agree, both the Vette and the M3 are awesome cars and would love either of them in my garage. I think the S4 has a great look and stance though. The only thing I did not like was it is more narrow than the TL, it is roomier (is that a word?). The M's in gerneral are race ready rockets but something to consider there, they are so highly tuned that these cars frequent the dealer garage. Being a GM fan all my life, the Vette is my favorite car but General Motors built quality will never be close to German quality. It goes fast as hell, handles with the best of em but will fall apart standing still, which, for a guy who grew up driving muscle cars (69 Chevelle, 70 Lemans and 78 Corvette) (miss that car) is hard to have to admit.
Gotta love my TL though, looks great, handles great, Honda quality and has tons of toys.... This is one of the funnest cars I have owned and I have had around 30 cars in my time, some not worth mentioning lol. No, I am not old, just older lol
