It's just not a good month for Accords...
Pictures will speak for themselves. I was coming back from Windsor with my mom, luckily we made the 250 miles home to Toronto when this happened. Traffic ahead stopped, I stopped, guy behind me didn't.
It's always a war zone here, and my mom told me I was complaining about the drivers more than usual when the accident happened. I saw him coming in my rear view mirror pretty fast, and then we were shoved forward. I don't even remember feeling the frontal impact.
Everyone was okay, a little sore and my mom was more upset than I was about the car. Paramedics came and checked us out, and I might go to a clinic tomorrow just in case. We got the worst of it, being sandwiched right in between the two cars. Unfortunately, the bumpers weren't able to absorb either impact.
Airbags didn't deploy, which kind of worries me. I thought they should with this kind of accident. It probably would've made things worse though.
I know I should be praying that they total it, but part of me wants them to repair it. I don't want to be one of those people that talks about missing their first car all the time. Oh well, it'll probably never be the same after this. Either way, the car did its job and I'm thankful we're okay. Considering the speeds people reach on this highway, it could've been much worse.
I spent most of the time consoling the guy who hit me. He was pretty pissed at himself, and I actually felt pretty bad for the guy. I was hit by the most apologetic guy ever.
What do you think? Totaled? I think it's a little hard to say with the airbags not deploying, but likely a total.

All this damage to the front and...

Notice the piece of taillight down by the front wheels.

My super ultra mega hellatastic OEM bug deflector... gone.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.
I'm kind of leaning towards a total loss as well. The two hits seemed to have really shocked the car. Even opening the rear driver's door had issues.
Oh well, looks like now it's just time to wait for the adjuster and see what he says.

That sucks Aman. Glad to hear everyone is ok.
I believe they will total it. At least from the pictures it appears that the metal around the gas tank lid buckled in. Also the rear C pillar metal appears to have an inward crease above the gas lid as well.

Glad you and your mom are alright man. Seeing someone behind you coming at you in the rearview like that is such a scary thing. Any ideas on what you'd get to replace it if it is indeed totalled?

Another one.
Seriously, I love it. It's fun and nice enough for me, and painless enough for my mom.
I toyed with the idea of a 300 while driving around today. RWD would be fun.
Snapped these two pics today. I'm no expert, but I think there's a chance.

The rear quarter panel doesn't have much real damage. Besides the dents that Colts pointed out, it'll just have scratches from the bumper and taillight.

As long as those dents only came from unibody flex and not damage. Also replacing the area around the gas lid can get expensive if done properly.
I have an automatic car, and I actually find myself pining for an MT the most when I'm in traffic. I think the extra control from the clutch would make my driving smoother.
That, and if you're caught in the wrong gear at the wrong time, you have no one but to blame but yourself.

dont be an :aman:
Glad to hear you and your Mom are ok Aman. The GTA is one of the few highways I've ever driven on where it is acceptable to be driving at 135-140 km/hr speeds and be right in the flow of traffic.
Here's an opportunity for you to maybe pick up an 06 AV6-6speed, or 05 TL-6!

Im thinking total as well.

Don't worry about it. Besides, maybe it's best to let the adjuster look at it first before looking at new cars.

Now look what you've done...
