Interesting comments on G35

We seem to be seeing more and more of these types of comments on the G35.

Posting a single thread from another forum highlighting a single persons experience is no more valid than someone posting a single thread from this forum on freshalloy claiming it represents all TL owners experiences. Someone here did the same thing not that long ago with a single thread from mbworld to prove that the TL's rattles were acceptable because the panorama roof in the SL rattled.

Again trying to make an excuse for your purchase of the TL.

I don't get it? You mean smaller, less advanced, non touchscreen nav, or is there something I should be looking for here? (like that blue bar?)

I thought the car had XM as an option. Who would buy the G35, spend over 30k on a car, and then cheap out and make the inside look shitty with an aftermarket navi mounted on the A/C?

Probably already had it and was paying for the subscription service for it already. Didn't want to pay for another monthly subscription (something like $7/month for ones beyond the first one) and chose to screw up his car's looks instead. In a word....idiot.

These kinds of comments are 1 in a million. That guy is overexaggerating or something cuz i have had no problems on my G at all. My former TL on the other hand needed to go to service all the time.

As for the XM radio, it is already built into the G so i have no idea why that guy put it there. It looks ugly there.

Hey- I'm speaking from experience myself since I just traded my 2003 G35 in for a TL!!!!!! There IS no comparison. Nothing but problems with my G.

im sure both cars have their problems. both cars are great i'm sure. but i got the acura because it came with many options standard that would have cost me quite a bit to get on the G35.

Having been on many different G35/Nissan forums, that guys gripes are DEFINITELY the exception, not the norm. Unlike this forum where there's a complaint about rattling every day.

With mass produced cars, someone's bound to get a lemon at somepoint.

With Honda America taking over 2 years to finally admit there are tranny problems, and now the recalls have gone into the '04 models as well, no one has any right to even brag on an Acura over virtually any other brand out there. Honda has proven their true colors with the poor handling of the tranny situation, AND for it to continue on across model years in multiple vehicles just proves that Honda is no longer the 'value leader' it had always been. Sure, they make GREAT engines and have an established rep, but the competition is tough.

is that an aftermarket nav ?? I thought Nissan/Infiniti used that dumb@$$ tacky pop up screen rather than a dash-flush mounted screen that was always visible.

personally, i think interiors where the navi screen can be hidden are more pleasing to the eye than those where the screen is permanent

as for the picture of that G....that guy's just a moron, putting a neon light in front of the navi screen and hooking up his XM radio where he did, UGGH

XM is built into the G35s deck. All you need is the brain installed in the trunk onto the pre-wired harness and attach a 2 wire attenna to it. Thats it. It can be a installed option from the dealer or you can get it from the factory already installed. But it comes STANDARD XM ready.
