Intakes make your car dangerous
I think the police chief seemed to have a pretty good understanding on thing "It's not the car that's going to get us in trouble it's the mindset". The reporter must have spent a good 5 minutes thinking about how a car works. He also looks genuinely happy that the poor little Integra could be crushed.
Then again I've never had to put up with California's dot rules. Do they really restrict what intake you can use? Here I just have to pass emissions, and this year they didn't even make me do that on the 97 cl.

The police chief seems reasonable. He's right, it's a mindset rather than the car itself that leads to street racing, even spontaneous street racing. It's an occasional problem in my V....people recognize it, then try to do top speed runs around me. I actually drive my V less hard than I did my RL.

They legalize medical marijuana in California but they make it illegal have a modified car. I bet the cops only pull over Asian cars. That integra would probably run a 14+ second 1/4 mile. They really need to stop worrying about modified cars and start worrying about people who drive like douchbags.

Owners of race cars can be cited or arrested, and their cars can be impounded or even crushed.

You don't like his expert assertion of a bolt on mod Integra being a racingmobile?
wow.. i wish my steering wheel buttons turned my car into a racing mobile..instead, when i turn up the volume, the track changes, and when i change the track, the volume goes up.. fail fml

has to be in cali

Not all CAI's are carb exempt. If the kit comes with a CARB # that makes it CARB Legal. Takes a lot of money and testing to make an aftermarket part CARB Legal, hence why the more expensive parts are CARB Legal.
