Pretty impressive launch, but fail on the uploader not reporting the 0-60ft or 1/4 mile time.

its all over another forum im part of but noone seems to know the times...someone i know who knows more about the car said that "it launches faster than a GT-R". how accurate that statement is idk but its still impressive

 

A Supra that wasn't built to race people strictly on the freeway now that's impressive

I can easily see that having a better 60 ft than even the GT-R, at least a stock one.

 

There was a thread about this guy on SupraForums, apparently he doesn't go on forums or anything so nobody really knows anything for sure about his build or his times. There's a few more videos of his launches around though, pretty insane.

 

That looked a lot more ferocious than a stock anything....

Looked like he almost swerved too far left and hit the wall, but I'm not sure because it was so fucking fast.

 

It blows my mind knowing the axles / differentials / drivetrain can withstand the shear force from that launch with that kind of grip. .

 

Impressive? Not really. My car does that all the time...in my dreams

i got some more info... its some guy in SC. def 1000+HP and took yrs and a ton of money to build... im curious if anyone knows how much money it would take to pull something like this off?

i'm sure if it was a 2JZ, JeffTsai over at ClubLex will know exactly what needs to go into holding that kinda power... last build he had on his GS was something like 700+hp at 30+psi?

i'm more impressed with the traction than the power. that's why most supras with big HP want to roll race. The usually spin the tires or break something. I saw lots of 1000whp cars launch at TX2k11 and they were nothing like that. That's 1500+ whp IMO.

By the comments the driver requests to not have the times shown. Maybe he does some street racing and doesn't want anyone to know exactly how quick this car is, but by this vid, it's QUICK!

i'm in Houston, Tx and they have the famous TX2K races here...which is made up mainly of 1000+hp cars....it use to be the Biggest Supra event but now it's for all the fastest cars around..it's a national event so everyone goes to this...one of my buddies is friends with a 1500hp supra here in houston and the guys from Titan and Underground Racing show up to this even too...if u guys think that's insane, u shud check out sum of the races from the TX2K...
