I'm so clumsy! HELP!

I was going under the hood of the TL, checking a few things. I unscrewed the engine oil fill cap and I dropped it! It fell somewhere under the hood but I can't find it. I can't find it and my parents are going to kill me. I'll have to buy a replacement if I can't find it but can I still drive the TL without the oil cap? Solutions are welcomed.

What ever you do don't cover it with a sock








































No but seriously, it should not be hard finding an oil cap. They even have aftermarket ones.

try putting your car in neutral and move it back a little then look for oil cap if it fell..

DONT start the engine

What sort of damage would happen if I did start the engine and drove the car.

it's probably on top of the front splash shield or under the radiator. spend a little time, you should be able to find it.

Yup I found it! It was on some plastic platform next to the sub-frame under the driver side. It was a hard reach due to me fat hand and arm but I eventually got it. And yes, I had started the car and moved it a little to check if it was under. Any damage done? I went around the block a few times and everything was fine. I had also covered it with plastic and a rubber band so dust couldn't get in and scratch my cylinders. When I started the car, nothing irregular happened.
