Story: Z06 bet $500 on beating WRX... Opps!!.. he lost to a fucking piece of shit econo box from suby...

He weasle away, them got mobbed with like 40-50 guys..

Argument about the bet heats up.... and Kabommm... COPS are everywhere...

Moral of the story... do NOT do that shit!!

And this wouldn't deter me from street racing. The only reason the cops were called was b/c someone said there was a gun in the car. They found nothing and just let em go.

btw, it should be noted that the z06 owner told the cops the wrx owner had a gun and that's why all the cars got searched.

Oh yeah... I understand the "rush" of the drag racing on the street is tempting and addictive.. however, you end up killing someone, or behind bars, or least of all paying huge fine.

damn, that wrx must have some major work done, because those things are great for off the line runs, but are pigs on the highway. My boy in his cls lost bad to one off the line, but when they met up on the highway, off a 50 roll the cl-s walked on him hard. Both cars where slightly modded.

There was a time when I used to street-race 4 nights a week for 2-3 years (with my Civic... and obviously much younger!).

Anyways... there were races upto $5K and if you don't pay up, you get shot and your car burned!

No 'best-of-three'. If you lose, you lose!

and it also sounds like you were out in ontario that guy didnt' pay up and got shot and his car turned over. I also remember a "un-named" shop having a car they had stolen from someone who didn't pay up parked outside their store

werd, while $500 isn't A LOT of money, it's sure enough for a good as beating. I've been stooped on a few money races and it's the lowest thing you can do. Esp. when you know you'd be totally willing and ready to give up your half had you lost.
