I want a GT-R but it is way too expensive
Other than that I would definitely get a supercharged Toyota Tundra or a Nissan Titan or G37 Coupe
In reality I will most likely only be able to afford a 2002ish Silverado or GMC, which is what i am looking at getting in the next 6 months. I want to spend less than 5 grand total and i cant justify buying a car like a prelude or 240sx or mustang or camaro that is older than my current Honda Accord.

I can't even imagine your mods. Let's see some pics of those 19 FOOT wheels you have on there
Oh, the Vette - I never liked Corvettes until I got to drive my ex's dad's Z06, badass car. It is crazy to have that much power and it sounds so nice. I felt like I was driving the batmobile staring out over that hood

Someone talk me down please!
and again.
I sat in one at the Cleveland Auto Show tonight. I am going back sometime this week, spending another $14.95, to sit in it again.
Gaw-dammit, I think I'm going to blow my wad and make a bad financial decision and get one. I can afford it, I just have been until now philosophically opposed in my own personal life to such conspicuous spending. I'm a Honda/Acura guy ("bang for the buck") guy through and through. I don't live in the same neighborhood as my colleagues and so my mortgage is low. I'm generally cheap by my very nature. How can I be considering this car?
I have a bud willing to use a GM Friends and Family discount as well, that would satisfy my cheap side.
It's like eating tofu and veggies your whole life, and then deciding, "screw it. I want a fracking burger!".
And it's not that I don't like my RL. I love my RL. But how can I turn down a four-door Corvette?

Bob, I can't talk you down... When I sat in the V up here at the Boston Auto Show, it was both mine and my best friends favorite car at the show... It absolutely blew my mind...

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
09 model only.
Also, the G8 GXP is worth a look, as is the Audi S4 or S5. this keeps things in the $40-60K range. not the stratosphere, but humbling none the less.
Exactly. If it were only 400HP, then I'd look elsewhere, but 556? for fuck sake, I hope GM does not get rid of this car.

I don't see them sticking around long. Sales in this ecomony will be slow, and GM has already pulled the plug on it's work group responsible for the ZR-1 and 09 CTS-V

I'm lots calmer than I was last night. I am hoping that the CTS-V depreciates quickly so I can pick up a 2009 for cheap later in the model year.
I did sit in that, too. Nice-looking exterior, cheeeeeeep-looking interior. I may be cheap, but not THAT cheap. I admit to being spoiled by my RL, which has one of the best interiors on the market.

Three Wheelin'
It makes me sick to see the deals going out now. I put 12k down on my car and i'm still prolly buried in it. It's not that big of a deal because I like my M and will keep it for a little while. (prolly until the TT M5 comes out LOL.)

And I'm not disagreeing with your either...There are a lot of things I dont get or agree with...and it ALWAYS make me the asshole when I say something....

Exactly what I'm planning to do. No reason to buy one brand new. The dealers are smokin something thinking they can get MSRP+. A local dealer, FC Kerbeck supposedly has a bunch of them in stock that have just been sitting there collecting dust.
