Cars aren't good investments, but it looks like the CL and Maybach have similiar deprication curves...
I lost 10K, the owner of the Maybach lost 100K... but it's still about 1/3 the original price

expensive cars depreciate for the reason of wealthy ppl not buying used. but when you start to talking about 200k+ exotics, those either stay at equal value or appreciate. and most of the reasoning behind that is because there are waiting lists and are actually hard to get your hands on them. another reason is that the styling is not updated as frequently as nonexotics, giving the design a timeless / classic look.

Exotics do take a dive though unless they're really rare. For example, the NSX drops off fast for a little bit, then it plateaus at 1/2 of it's original price for a LONG time (like 8-10 years!).
