I hate people like this...

http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=54591.0

cliffs:

1. mazda3 owners tranny died
2. mazda won't cover it because they say it was badly beaten on
3. mazda3 owner confirms to the message board he did beat on it hard
4. message board doesn't tell him to man up, but instead tells him ways he can try to get it warrantied
5. mazda and/or the specific dealership voided his car for any warranty work

fuck people like that. oh well i'm glad they voided his whole car from any warranty work.

and to think, i considered buying a mazda3 til i test drove my CL, i just couldn't justify spending over $5k more for a lower quality/size/class car. Btw, i agree, this kid's a complete moron, especially since he's telling people every little detail and how he beats his car, but expects mazda to cover his ass for being dumb. Maybe some day he'll grow up and learn his lesson.

Freaking retard. I am glad they voided trans. I have seen reps and shop foremans void trans warranty and suspension warranty on cars that come in with constant problems due to these things.

Dealerships are getting pissed off with people ragging on their cars and taking them in when something breaks. Although i have been guilty of beating on my car and taking it in for service, i wouldnt have been surprised if the dealer warrantied any work.

Can someone define "raggin" and "beating" on the car versus hard driving.

If the guy took his Mazda 3 to redline all the time, and shifted properly in a manner that wasn't abusive to the clutch or tranny, I don't see why the tranny shouldn't be warrantied. If the car can't take being shifted at 7k rpms or whatever the redline is, then Mazda shouldn't say it redlines there. As far as I'm concerned, driving a car to its said potential is fine and should be covered under warranty.

I'm thinking that "raggin" and "abuse" is:
- Dropping the clutch from insane rpms, and have components like the tranny and diff, take the stress i.e. the wheels don't spin
- misshifting in a manner that causes the rpms to exceed the fuel cutoff
- banging against the fuel cutoff for prolonged amounts of time (not sure why you would do this, but I consider it abuse)

As far as braking goes - you can brake all day from 100 - 0 for all I care - thats just wear and tear on the brakes and rotors (your own fault, and thus you pay for wear and tear items).

Same with handling. Be tough on your tires, and you replace them sooner.

DISCLAIMER: I don't drive my car in any way, shape, or form in the above manner!
