I dropped my friends car off at the VW dealership today....

the other day on the drive home my friends drivers side window just fell into the door on his 01 Jetta, I looked it up on VWvortex and found it was a common problem so i told him to take it in, but he left it at my place in the garage and i wasnt working today so after he spoke with VW i dropped it off for him.

Wow what an experiance it's not even my car and they treated me GREAT! customer lounge wass clean comfortable and some decent freebies, TV, natures valley granola bars, water, coffee, Good newspapers too not rags like the SUN. After the paper work was done, there shuttle driver was busy so they even had a car porter drive me home in a Audi (POS). I wasnt even there 10 min. PFAFF motors in newmarket.

Now heres the real kicker my buddy didnt even buy his car from there and its now 6 years old, but they offered to repair the window free of charge on a warranty extension as well as perform another recall that he didnt even know about. It's really refreshing to see that kind of transparancy at a dealership, it leaves something to be desired from the usual bullshit that we go through at our Acura dealers. I guess they have to be friendly when there cars fall apart all the time

I've always had good experiences with our V-dub dealer out here in Baltimore. My girl has a '00 Jetta that had the same issue.

I wish San Antonio and Austin VW service was that way.... I hate taking my Touareg in. They are always booked up, and nobody really seems to care.

Sometimes you just find a dealer that cares about their customers! Even if you weren't.

That's why I drive an hour out of my way to my Acura dealer, when there is one 10 minutes from me, and another about 20 minutes away. I stick with the ones that treat me right.

That is the way my Toyota dealer is. Nice thing I have found with my Dealer is that I do not feel $$$$ raped when I am done there. My 30k service cost me like $175 total and that was because I added $20 for a mini detail (interior windows cleans, vacuumed and armor all dash etc).

With my Acura, I never walked out with a Bill less than $300 for Service.

That is 1 of the reasons that I am poo pooing the urge to trade into a RL.

maye i should start shopping acura dealers, but its such a bitch to go farther away when you want service cause the shuttle will only drive you so far and getting a loaner doesnt tend to happen unless they need your car for awhile. I'm thinking next time i might venture to a GTA dealer and test the waters, Maybe even the dealer where i bought it since they keep sending me letters to remind me of service intervals.

i find that its the luck of the draw. Some dealers are douche bags but some, like mine (VW Jennings), are real great with customer care/service...

The Acura dealership I go to treats me great.

There's a lot of great dealerships out of there that truly cares about not only their customers, but any person that decides to go there.

Did you see the 3 V-dubs for under $17,000?

I'm annoyed at those commercials.

Go to Acura 2000 in Brampton. Worth the drive, and they have decent prices.
