How much have you driven?

I had to get tires yesterday for my Infiniti and the guy at the front desk was going over the maintenance schedule with me and said I should bring back in 4000 miles to have them rotated. I told him I will see him in about 5-6 weeks and he was shocked.

Since I had a 30 minute wait til the car was done I was thinking about how much I have driven in my life.

It comes out to about 375,000 miles since 1996. Obviously I rounded the numbers to the nearest 1000.

Camry: 32000 miles
Maxima: 168000 miles
CLs: 57000 miles
I35: 86000 miles and counting
Pathfinder: 20000 miles

I figure I have about another 10000 to 15000 miles in rental cars and loaner cars.

To put it in perspective, on average that's about 26750 miles a year. The circumference of the earth is just below 25000 miles.

Since getting my license in 97:
89 Prelude - 110k miles
99 Escort ZX2 - 90K miles
01 CL-S - 100k miles
Wife's cars - 30k miles
Parent's cars - 20k miles

So, about 350k miles in 12 years - about 29K a year.

Sentra - About 50K
Explorer - 35K and counting
CL - 58K and counting
Various motorcycles - 8K and counting

Got my license in 96 so I haven't really driven that much

Current car has 125,000 and I put probably about 14k on bikes.

The previous cars, I don't remember, honestly.

But I do know that I average about roughly 20k miles a year.

Have driven numerous cars since getting my license
Not sure of the mileage on the cars
Present cars: 05 elantra (bought new 11/04) 93,000 miles
06 tsx (bought new 11/06) 97,000 miles
07 raider truck (bought new 11/07) 22,000 miles
cars I remember owning that made it to over 200,000 miles-88 excel, 88 maxima, 91 mazda.
I probably drive at least 40,000 miles a year

90 Honda Prelude - 160k
98 Honda Prelude - 140k
99 Acura Integra - 76k x 0.4 = 30.4k (my wife and I started swapping cars)
04 Acura TSX - 75k x 0.5 = 37.5k
06 Audi A4 - 40k x 0.7 = 28k
09 BMW 335i - 7400 x 0.5 = 3700
10 Audi S4 - 3800 x 0.5 = 1900

Approx. total = 401.5k (not including other rentals and loaners)

wow...good question. I'll start in reverse chronological order:
08 TL-S: 4,500 to 39,500 = 35k
05 TL: 25k to 85k = 60k
01 TL: 45k to 100k = 55k
00 Grand Am = 0 to 175k = 175k
79 Trans Am = 65k to 95k = 30k
96 Trans Am = begged dad to borrow it constantly from when I was 16 thru 21 so I'm guessing about another 25k there.

GRAND TOTAL: 380,000 at least.

I'm sure I've done more but here's mine (rev chrono):

09 MDX 3,500 miles (just purchased new on 11/17/09. )
07 AV6 36,500 miles (leased new)
05 Murano 39,000 miles (leased new)
02 Maxima 34,000 miles (leased new)
00 Quest 162,000 miles and counting (bought new)
99 Accord 35,000 (leased new)

and a number of cars beforehand that I've driven countless miles over the 11 year period of time preceding my 99 Accord acquisition. So rough guess: I've probably driven as many miles as SouthernBoy.

First car 02 Accord EX - 70K miles (bought it used @ 8K mile)
05 TL - 85K miles (bought it new and had it for 4.5 years)
10 Mazdaspeed3 - 2K miles (bought it new back in late 2009) : I've been driving my company's SUV for several business trips. It's my first time putting so little miles on my car.

Total should be around 157K miles. I've driven my gf's and ex-gfs' cars A LOT as well, so I think I've driven at least 180K miles.

Yep, I did my math too and I seem to be averaging 30k per year...seems like the norm to me...not the 10 or 15k you get on a lease!

Put down how long you've been driving. For me, I've been driving less than 14 years in the US.

These are just the cars Ive personally owned. For awhile there during the Civic ownership I drove my mothers Accord, and put about 10k on that as well.

Civic - 12k miles
Prelude - ~20k miles
CL - 48k and counting

I bought the Civic in 2005 and had it until early 08 when I got the Prelude. During that time the Civic ran maybe a total of 14 months. Put 20k on the Prelude in about 8 months, picked up the CL in August 08 with 56k on it, not it has 104k. I used to average around 1k miles a week, buts it has slowed down over the past few months.

Ive been driving for 5 years now, half of that time illegally

Thought about leasing a new MDX for my wife but something that nice we'll be driving more than the 10k they give you for a $499 per month lease! Acura's gotta make a killing on their leases since they're such great reliable cars.

I see you ordered the ATLP base...I'm assuming this is the new V2, when did they tell you it will be done.

I honestly don't know, but I'm sure it's well over 500 000 miles in cars or trucks. I know it's been around 200 000 miles on motorcycles however.

Its probably closer to 350,000 and I'm just rounding up. My original figure didn't include vehicles I didn't own (friends, family, 'work')

Hmm. I might need to see a picture of all odometer readings - before/after with butter in the picture as well.

Oh wow, this is a good question, I never kept records, and some of the cars had multiple drivers so I cannot just look at the odometer, I have driven my parents' cars numerous times when I was younger, so I can only do an estimate

My miles
88 celebrity (pos car)
odometer and speedo was crapped out for a while, so i estimate it to be a good 70-80k
95 rodeo (pos suv) 30k
97 odyssey (nice minivan) 20k
03 TSX (very nice car) 72k
09 TSX (Anotehr nice car) 10k

Total miles driven: about 222k miles

I'm also driving my wife's Civic, so add another few k's to the life odometer. I'm still young, I'm gonna hit 500k within my lifetime!

56k on the Accord but at least 1/4 of those miles are not mine. Also put about 15k miles on the Iroc-Z I had through the last couple of years of high school.

I got my licence in Dec 06.
93 civic- around 20k miles
97 TL- almost 22k miles
03 Accord (dad's car)- around 15K

So 57000 in 3 years, thats around 19000 a year

Thanks. My daughter (driver) is fine thankfully AND it was not her fault. Cops cited the other driver for failing to yield. While the car itself is nothing special overall, I've had it for exactly 10 years (this month) and it's the longest I've ever owned one vehicle. (Heck! I've had it longer than I had my Maxima, Murano and AV6 combined!!)
