The highway is on the BOTTOM of the picture.
It looks to me like he lost it and went off the side of the road and UP the embankment a little bit.
Then it probably spun on the grass and rolled back down the hill.

But on closer inspection I also see another road up top, so it could have just rolled over from the top.
