Help me choose which ride to get??

Hey guys. Need some help. Looking to get a 03 model car and I need some opinions on which one I should get.

I am looking at either
A.) 2003 Infinity G35 (black,leather w/ 30K miles)
B.) 2003 Lexus IS300 (black w/30K miles)
C.) 2003 BMW 325i (black w/30K miles) –I am not sure about this one

Out of these 3 rides which would you choose and why? Thanks all.

G... the IS is dated since the new IS is out... 330 would be another good choice.

B.)... test drove IS300 before I purchase my CL-S. It lacks power but fit me better in styling, size and comfort. But then again, that was all based on my personal preference. Only reason, I went with CL-S was b/c i was able to get it brand new( I don't like used cars!), obviously more power and torque and better gas mileage.

You'll find many G35 owners crying for high gas prices. I know those things eat up gas but so does IS300 I believe. IMO, it's difficult to compare these three cars since the engines are VERY different from one and another. Why don't you throw TL in there also?

I would choose A) since you have more crank HP, brembo, and overall the best in the list. Secondly with the new IS coming out, the older one will lose further value. The old one didn't have the HP for my liking... BMW is a fun car as well... but once again, not enough HP.

As greenmonster mentioned, 330i would be a nice alternative to the list above.

G for sure.

I testdrove a IS and it is a little cramped (IMO)
The 325 is nice, but for the money the G35 is the best choice. It has more style, inside and out.

A lot of people complain about the poor gas mileage, I would suggest reading other people's thoughts who own them at the g35driver.com forums. This made me look elsewhere as initially I wanted a g35 sedan but I can't do 18-22mpg (or lower in some cases).

Oh and if I had to choose between those three it would be the g35. IS300 is dated and the bmw is ok I suppose.

If you can get a used G35 with 30k miles....

then why not get a used 330i with 30k miles.

G35 and IS for longterm is a good choice. If you're going to boost then the IS is the way to go but if not G35 it is. And 325i's are :ghey:

Go with the bimmer....if the G35 you were looking at were the coupe, I'd say G, the sedan is ugly, plus it's the 2003, first model year, the interior feels cheap...IMHO...
Just pick whichever drives right and feels right to you *coughs* BMW
Also in the first pic, is the hood up or bent?
The IS is dated, don't even consider it.

So you're saying that the 325i and the IS300 were the base of the base models with no leather? Or were you only specifying that because some G35's didn't come with leather?

Oh yeah, and out of those 3 cars the G35 is the worst on gas, but cheapest to repair. Lexus and BMW have very expensive parts, and the BMW is likely to cost you a LOT more money than the Lexus in the long run.

People on G35driver.com are reporting real world gas mileages of 13-17mpg in the city.

Hey guys. Well I wanted to see how a mercedeZ BenZ luXury QuaLity was.

So I went and test drove a 02 240C (or something like that) and boy what a POS. Has only 23K miles and looked nice. Confort was really stiff in the seats. it had the same room at my 99 TL. The MB V6 was just not so responsive, Gas pedal felt stiff and had to push on it harder to get it to move. Accleration seemed ok, but No WOW factor. Steering is really tight, but not as hard to turn w/o power steering. Let me just say that I handed back the keys to the dealership and I was happily-excited to get back into my 124,000 miles TL. Acura IMHO makes a way better feel car. Power was way more noticeably better then the MB.

As for the G35, I plan to pass. Was supposeto go today to pick it up, but I just dont feel I really need it.

Plan to start to really appreciate that I own a TL and they are really, really nice vehicles. All my acuras never gave me crap. I owned 2-Maximas in the past and one of them had bad injectors and ping issues. I hear the G35s has some brake issues, but still really new to gind all the bugs just yet. But I will stick w/ my TL for now. Probably start to add some rims and stereo sys to it here shortly. Over-all I hear that the G35 is not that much quicker then the TL line, but I am not a speed freek
