Vandalized Vehicle

If your car was totaly vandalized and you just bought the car. Less than a week I say. What would the insurance do and what would the dealer do?

Did you file the police report first? After you do that, then talk to your insurance company and I hope that you have full coverage!

Talk to your insurance agent about this. We had a similar problem when we bought our '05 Odyssey. 5 days after bringing it home, my mom hit a deer. Insurance gladly gave us the money to take it in for repairs.

Well it was bought 3 days ago and then it was parked outside. Then some f***er bashed it with a bat. This car is brand new i mean like 60 miles on the odometer. I was thinking if I would get a new car instead of going through the insurance. Since it was used less than a week. Not even my car its my friends car.

If only life was that easy.

You think that the dealer will take the car back just because someone too a bat to it? NOPE.

You have to go through insurance unless you find the guy who did it and pressed charges.

Oh and insurance wont give you a new car either, they will just give you money to get the car fixed.

Just wondering what would make you think that it would even be a possibility to a new car?

Haha...that's wishful thinking. It's not the insurance's fault that your friend's car was vandalized. So there's no way that they will total the car just so he can get another brand new one.

Plus, an Evo 8 is nothing to them. Not even a $300k Ferrari. The insurance will pay to fix the damage and that's it.

If anything, the more expensive the car is, the harder it would be to get it totalled. Unless the damages exceeded around 75%-80% of the car's market value, the insurance company would just pay for the damages and not total it.

funniest thing I heard all day.

Dude just like anything else, you make an insurance claim and they give you money to fix the car. End of story. Whether you owned the car for a week or an hour. Whether it is a neon or a benz. Doesnt matter.

And the dealer is out of the picture once you drive off the lot. they could give two shits about you, your car, and the bat that smashed it. They would just laugh at you.
