Headlights on before starting
My old highschool physics teacher once told me that it is good for the engine to turn on your headlights before starting your car. He said is sparks the battery a little and warms it up before putting the heavy load of ignition on a cold battery.
Is there any truth to this? Or is he just crazy?

on to the next one...
I don't think that would work on the CL's or TL's since the lights don't come on without the engine running anyway.
FWIW, Whenever my lights are turned on before starting the car, the driver side light will not come on when starting the engine. I have to turn the light knob back off and then on again for them both light up...

i would think the exact opposite....turning on the headlights just puts more load on the battery when you are trying to start the car....but i guess now that i think about it when you actaully turn the key to start doesnt the car cut power to the lights and all the electonics etc....
