the guys on the forums all using seat memory 3 to make their own “down mirror”
I never used it much on my other cars.
I’ll most likely get the go pedal. I need to think about the piggyback. Faster is always nicer lol.
Slight correction to my earlier statement a bit on the piggyback after rereading it -- the one I bought does not have driving modes, the GOPedal has those modes, Performance, custom, kids, valet, disable (which is cool as you can completely disable the throttle even if the key is present), apologies there for the confusion. I'd try it out for sure, the money back guarantee is nice if you don't find the value in it (I suspect you will )
GoPedal maps (taken from Madness rep over on Giulia forums). Some of these have changed with updates--Sports is now Performance, for example.
Modes at a glance:
Eco:
Eco not only makes soft starts easier in city traffic, it also reduces the maximum fuel consumption at full throttle.
Sport:
Direct response and better acceleration! The aggressive characteristic of Sport Mode provide a completely new and more direct response to your vehicle.
Individual:
Set up a custom map for your spouse, child or anyone else using your vehicle. You have full control of how the throttle will work while someone else is using your vehicle
Kids Mode:
The Kids Mode offers the ability to reduce the performance of your vehicle.
With a slider, the maximum achievable power of the vehicle can be adjusted between 50% and 100%.
Protect:
Disable your throttle pedal and you have a built in security feature that prevents someone from driving away with your vehicle.
In most cases you can start the car, but you cannot drive it anywhere since the pedal is disabled
Valet:
Limit the response from your throttle pedal so the only way your vehicle can be driven in Valet Mode is slow and gentle
Is there not a camera delay option? Our Flex, F150 & C300 all have the option for the camera to remain on until about 5mph forward, or to have it instant once removed from R.

Great question, I'll do some digging around in the menus. I'd much rather know if this a feature vs. thinking it's a big.
It’s a feature. All my cars with rear cameras stay on a few seconds while switching to drive. I like it for parking lots and parallel parking. Sometimes they do get “stuck” for a few seconds longer.
but the Alfa menus are sooooo limited compared to everyone else. It’s one area I’d like to see them change.

It sure as shit is a feature--'backup camera delay = on/off' It is on in the Stelvio, off in the Giulia. I feel like an idiot
FWIW, way more menus and options available in the Alfas over the 2019 TLX--and even the 2020 RDX I had as a loaner with the upgraded infotainment system. Before the TLX, I looked at a 2016 Merc C450 AMG, which I really liked, and the menus/options in there, even on an older model, put Acura and Alfa to shame. Of course it was fully loaded with $20k of marked up packages

Now, I just need some snow! It's been in the 60s the past couple of days! Washed both yesterday, the snow shoes on the Giulia are looking a little snowless :/

Took the Giulia out for some spirited driving and will be dumping some February photos. I still have not been able to take advantage of the Sottozero's... No snow
Well shit, glad I hit "new posts" this morning...cool thread although I can't see almost any of your pics on my work computer.
Cool choice...ever since Sarlacc got his and sang it's praises I've kinda perked up to the brand. Who knows...dating an Italian
girl now so that might be a good choice.

I'd suggest definitely giving one a test drive--so fun to drive! Six months later and I still get excited every morning to get behind the wheel. I use imgur to host the photos, apologies they're blocked at work! I'll use the internal Acurazine platform to share in the future. Are you able to see pics from Insta at work?
Thanks for that, man...
Yeah, definitely a contender although I'm on a bit more of a limited budget...I'll see where they land at around the 5 year 100K mark.

That sounds exactly like a Toyota. No love, just utility.
Yeah, it's why I dumped both the Prius and the Highlander early in their leases. The IS is a tad more "fun" as it were...but its not exciting and its certainly not fast.
she likes it. She just isn’t a car person in the same way. To be honest I think the car scares her a bit since it more aggressive to drive than past cara. She drives it in A
Nearly two year update…. Both running great, only issue has been both batteries replaced with MOPARs under warranty. I’ve been shopping around for a third impractical small exotic, and almost pulled the trigger on a 2021 Lotus Evora GT in the fall… but, decided to wait and look for a 4C (they’re getting harder to find and appreciating in value). Also, going to actually go further all in on Alfa and ordered QVs in both the Stelvio and Giulia (2022s, they stopped production on 2021s). My dealer thinks I should go with a Giulia QV and Stelvio Veloce (formerly the Ti Sport in the US, Veloce everywhere else) and he wants to find me a rare center exhaust 4C. My dealer has 80 on the lot currently and another 70 on the way with 6 QVs (two of which are mine for now, haha!). The GTA is also coming to the states—however, only 150 of them with a staggering price of $253K.
Yeesh, buying two QVs at the same time? And here I was thinking I was being too fast and loose with money with my car purchases .
I'm interested to hear how the QVs hold up. I loved the Giulia QV on the test drive I got to take, but the reliability concerns were...well, concerning.

I usually only make irrational decisions when it comes to cars At any rate, only leasing them—my dealer doesn’t give a shit if I tune them, one of the cool ones for sure—and my only out of pocket expense in two years on the 2.0s has been 1 service each (the first one was free). There isn’t anything like them on the road—I thought about switching over to BMW for about 2 seconds—took a look at the M4 Competition a few weekends ago and the X3M Competition to swap out the Alfas. They just weren’t doing it for me. The tech is great in them, but nothing like driving the Alfas. Even after I got finished with the Lotus and jumped back in my Giulia, it really made me appreciate just how much racing DNA has gone into them. It didn’t feel like I was jumping out of a super car into a Camry—it felt the same (and the Giulia actually sits lower than the Lotus), and the handling is still better haha!

Going from a Giulia to the new M4 would have been going from one of the prettiest faces in the car world to one of the ugliest.
