havent checked in in a while...

Hey guys, havent been on in a while, but I no longer have the Protege5...

I sold the P5 for $6000 without the rims, not even trying to sell it, I then bought probably the CLEANEST Mazda MX6 Ive ever seen...

Interior:

1st I added lowering springs and a 2.5" Exhaust, with a Magnaflow muffler

Then I put on the 17's I had on the P5

Then I ditched the 17s for the 18s off of a Mazda RX8

Pictures really do it no justice... but the car was so clean that I was traded::
a 2000 Audi A4 2.8Quattro. EVEN TRADE

sold that and got a talon just to have some AWD fun, then sold the talon and ended up where? hmmm

BACK IN AN ESCORT GT

Current Mods on this EGT:
Wheels Tires Suspension::
16x7 Rota MSR's
195/50/16 Kumho Ecsta 711s
Tokico HP Blue struts
Neuspeed Springs
Suspension Techniques front and rear sway bars
Goodridge Stainless Steel Braided Brake hoses
JDM 323 GTX Front strut bar

Performance:
Mazda BP 1.8 DOHC
K&N Cone
Pacesetter Headers
Pacesetter Exhaust
Jacobs Omni Pak Ignition

Ill be slowly accumulating the parts for another turbo build, but I plan on making @ least 320-340whp.... stock rods are good for around 350 so I'll try to stay close but not on the edge.

Let me know what u think guys

Ah, memories. I traded in an MX6 for my first TL back in 1999. The car was excellent mechanically, but man, those doors were thin and it made it feel cheap. Had I known about Dynomat, I would've layered it up for a nice solid feel.

Nice, glad to see you made your way back to an Escort GT! I loved checking out your other thread of the former one you owned since it was such a sleeper. Definitely keep us updated on the turbo build.

My uncle had an MX6 for the longest time... I actually really liked riding in the car with him, good ride, a little sporty, and lasted him a long time.

Boosted again! Love it! What do you have planned to add to the 200whp?

Theres a guy on a mazda forum making adapter plates from stock turbo mani to T3 flange. Im thinkin somethin along the lines of a GT2871R , probably run about 15-18psi, RX7 550cc injectors, and 3" Turbo back, Gonna be tuning with megasquirt.

Stock internals have seen up to 340whp for long periods of time/beating before the rods let go. Thats the 1st thing lol.

So i'll keep it around 300-320
