Have any one of you seen those crazy youtube vids that have mazda miatas with freakin' V8s in them? I have to admit, they look pretty sick, at least the engine bay does especially if you have a nice corvette motor in it. I've seen some S2000's also. Talk about sleepers! I even saw this one youtube clip of a V12 miata lol...apparently the miata's engine bay was designed for a V6 albeit they shipped it with a 4 cylinder in it.

This honestly makes me feel like doing something like this, but with the S2000 or the newer body style of miatas.

Just saw an episode of "Gearz" last night where they build one of these. They put a horrific looking car kit on it to make it look more "sporty", but it seemed like it was fast and handled pretty well.

There's one here in DFW that basically has Minivette on his license plate. Pretty quick little car, though the owner is a bit too cocky about it.

 

there is a v8 miata for sale localy here, has a ford engine in it I think. He wants close to $15k for it and it's early 90s model.

 

Monster Miata's have been around for a while. Haven't been in one, but have seen them at meets/shows, etc. Pretty cool IMO...

Yep Monster Miatas. The "typical" version has a Ford 5.0 in it. I guess it slips right in with the correct motor mounts and the rear end in the Miata is strong enough to handle the extra hp/tq.
