GT-R or Carbon packaged C6 Z06

Wow, what a choice to make. Both would be like snow plows in the winter. Neither will have great ground clearance in deep snow.
I would choose the gtr but there are too many electronics to make me comfortable with long term reliability. With this i would choose the z066.
I would always have to throw in the 911 c4s too.

I guess a little more is subjective, and I probably should have stated pre-owned, but I figured most people know by now that I only speak in terms of pre-owned. Only a sucker buys new. Anyway, a new GT-R like what the OP is looking for is ~$80k-$85k (MSRP). You can pick up a pre-owned, low mileage R8 (2008 or early 2009) for ~$100k. So yeah, to me, $15k is only a little more

The only reason I wouldn't mind driving a GT-R is because it would only make me look that much better looking. Kinda like the effect of the DUFF that hangs out with the average-looking chicks.

haha, no. it reminds me of a factory ready Fast and the Furious car. maybe its my anti-ricer/boy racer mentality. i would want something more classy if i were to be spending $$$ on a sports car. of course, if you had a fleet of cars - different story. but as a DD, not so much. to each their own.

I'm going to change my answer from Z06 to pre-owned Z06

Anyway, my initial response was on-topic:

Z06 Carbon
So I was at the local Houston Chevy getting my Vette serviced and after I finished I drove up to the collection of Vette's they have (man everything is bigger in Texas)! They had 3 ZR1's (red, carbon, and black). Each was a loaded 3LZ with a sticker of $121K Then, I spot another Carbon Grey C6 that looked like a ZR1 but it was a Z06 Carbon. It was SWEET! Gunmetal ZR1 wheels, the carbon brakes of the ZR1 and also magnetic ride control of the Zr1. Sticker- $97,200
Anyway, a salesman then walks up and tells me my Vette sounds nice. Then he's like your ready for a test drive and trade I laughed and declined. If I wasnt in a rush to get to a call I would have fluffed him and went for a test drive. Anyway, $97K + tax is serious dough. OP, you ready to spend that on a DD?

Even if you don't need the back seat, but want a beautiful, comfortable rocket sled to take to the store.
I'll never have one.
