Got Tired of the Santa Fe...
...so I got an Elantra!
The SF was a nice car and while I enjoyed the power, I wanted something smaller, with better gas mileage and mainly, fewer trips to the shop. I worked it out and Hyundai was spending $266 a month on average for my repair visits and that isn't something I wanted to deal with after the warranty ran out so I decided to drop it while the damn thing was worth something.
I'll post more photos after I get it cleaned up tomorrow but for now, here's a quick cell phone shot from the dealer lot.

congrats-proud owner of many Hyundai's over the years. Currently own a 6MT '11 sonata. If acura does not offer a '13 milano red tsx se 6MT with tech we might be getting a '13 turbo sonata with nav.

Nice pickup! Options? I always thought you would go with the Fit if you were looking for a car this size.

Sweet looking ride Andrew. Use it in good health. You didn't want to use your employee discount from Honda and get yourself a nice '12 Civic?

Thanks for the well-wishes, all.
Ira...I briefly looked at the Civic and that was about it. Not a very impressive car, especially considering that it's a Honda. Even with my employee discount, a Civic EX-L with nav would have cost the same as my Elantra and would have come with less standard kit and slightly worse mileage. That and our used car manager is the biggest low-baller in Oregon.
Aman...once you have a car with heated seats and all the niceties, it's a real hard pill to swallow down-grading. That may make me sound like a conceited snob but that's how I see it. Besides, the Elantra offers a bit more and better mileage but does cost a bit more than the Fit.
Onward to the photos...
No keys...push to start.
Heated rear seats!!!

Oh...and here are some dirty technical details:
2012 Elantra Limited - Korean Build
Color: Titanium Gray Metallic
Interior: Gray Leather/Black Carpets
Options: Tech Package, Auto-Dimming interior mirror with compass and Homelink, carpeted floor mats.
Tech Package Adds: 360-watt sound system with external amplifier, touch-screen navigation system with 7" screen and rear-view camera, Proximity Key with push-button start and immobilizer.
MSRP was $23,650 and I paid $23,150 out the door after getting $20,000 for the Santa Fe, the latter of which I had to rake them over the coals to achieve.

I like the look and features of the new Elantra. Good pickup and hopefully it will be more reliable than your lemon Santa Fe.

Oh yeah saw the bluetooth display the car will block your number for you too? I know it's only dialing *67, but still....
Damn Andrew I'm seriously jealous. This is a lot of car for the money.

The Box
They're discontinuing the TSX... I just read in automotive news there will be no more TSX after next spring, they are coming out with a smaller sedan similar to a Civic in size.
