GOD DAMMIT!!!!

so im designated driver, and im driving some drunk friends to the store and a cop nails me right as im pulling into the 7-11....he thoght i was drunk so i had to pass DUI tests.....passed them with flying colors, so fucking easy, say the alphabets, blah blah,

gives me a ticket for 48 in a 35, and tells me traffic school. I just took traffic school last month for a 59 in a 35, so i have to go to court?? How many points will this put on my record?

this pisses me off because ive been driving like a grandma lately, never going above the speed limit on these roads, but the one time im doing something good and making sure my friends dont drive drunk i get nailed......FUCK. it wasnt my car it was a hoopty asss 94 honda that i wasnt really familiar with

any idea how much insurance rates would rise??

 

No offense, and I understand you were trying to do a good thing, but it doesnt mean you can break the law. You cannot blame a cop for doing his job.

 

naw i dont blame the cop....i currently live in a college town in the boonies, wheres hundreds of kids speed and drive drunk everyweekend. right after he wrote me the ticket he pulled another kid over. almost every one of my friends who has a car here has gotten a ticket

i got a ticket last year in the same area. im fucking stupid.....i was revving the honda accord harder than i would me TL to make up for the power shortage, which caused me to a go a bit over. maybe a judge would let me go cus i was designated driver and it wasnt my car??? what else can i tell the judge

 

If you go to court the judge may let you go to traffic court again. I went to court and the judge was letting people go a third and forth time.

 

That sucks

 

The cop could just told you to slow down (written warning) since you were the designated driver for the night but oh no, his "I'm the cop, you're not" ego kicked in and he had to go and be a dick about the situation. Thats the kind of crap that has always bothered me.
