Got rid of RSX

Well,

I am now Acura-less. The RSX was just traded for a new Nissan Murano. Better half wanted an SUV. It's bordeaux (looks like dark metallic brown) with a tan interior. Loaded with everything but the nav. system.

It was sad to see the RSX go. It was a fun car, but couldn't compare to the CL-S (not that the Murano can either). The Murano is just more comfortable and has more space which we are starting to need.

We liked the look of the Murano better than the FX35. Also, the FX started at $35k for just a base model, we got the loaded Murano for $32K.

Don't get me wrong, the FX is nice, but this fit our taste and budget better.

The RSX was a great car. We didn't have any problems with it whatsoever. Completely solid. After 30k miles, still runs nice and no rattles anywhere. The biggest difference was the power. Going from a CL-S to a base RSX was just way too much. And the ride was a bit stiff, so out here where I live with all the construction and such going on, we were getting bounced around all over the place.

But those are just some minor things. The RSX is a great car. On smooth pavement, it was a blast to drive. It also handled great. Acura did a great job with it. The interior is just about perfect in my opinion. The leather is super soft, the seats are sporty but comfortable, and the red interior lights look great. I may have been a bit happier with a type-s, but it really came down to the car was just too small for us now.

Personally though, if you are tired of your first gen CL, just get a 2nd gen CL-S. They are pretty reasonable on the used car market, and you will not be disappointed with it. I still regret getting rid of mine.

Yeah I know, almost bought one 2 weeks ago. Silver 03 6speed loaded with comptech goodies. Thing is I DONT want a 5AT CL, and I want to stay under 20g's. So I thought a used 03 RSX-S would be cool. I had a 96 Integra GSR that was a blast to drive. And 200hp in my 1st gen compared to 200hp in that little thing sounds fun.

The Murano is a sharp looking car. These things are popping up all over the place in recent weeks.

Best of luck with it.

The Murano IS a good deal, although a fully loaded one is well over $40G MSRP. I thought of getting one for the wife with Navi, HIDs and a sunroof.
