It was a bit of an impulse buy (as most of my cars are) but it's worth every penny.
Man base Caymans are selling for that cheap? I absolutly love the car. Makes me want to wait till end of summer/fall and purchase that instead of a TL-S.

But the driving dynamics are superb, makes you feel like a hero.

Will never buy another Nissan after what I went through with the G. It was a great car except for the tire feathering issue that Nissan would NOT cop to. It was an issue with the 350z and some of the G35 coupes (mine included). Went through 4 sets of front tires in 2 1/2 years and 38K. Even for sport tires that's a bit excessive. The same thing happened to each tire, theinside tread of the front tires wore unevenly which caused serious road noise at lower speeds. I had the suspension adjusted by the dealer, alignment, the "fix" that Nissan suggested and everytime the same thing happened to the tire. Nissan wouldn't work with me, the dealer wouldn't work with me so this time I didn't even consider the G37 or Nismo 350z.

The BMW 335i was nice but it didn't get me really excited. Granted, it's an awesome car, and is way faster than the Cayman. I'm sure the 135i will be nice, but I'm not a fan of the exterior look of it.

I don't know, there was just something about the Cayman when I drove it that I just loved. And everyday I drive it I just enjoy it more and more. I could have gotten a lot of other cars for the price, but after I drove this I just knew it was the one for me. And I picked the base Cayman over the S. Didn't really feel that the extra 50hp was worth the extra 10K it would have cost me. All in all I'm happy with the decision.

I will admit that I am truly a non-Porschephile but, if I had to buy one it'd the 911 or bust.

That said, the Cayman looks to be a sweet ride nonetheless.

Agreed, if I had to buy just one, it would be a 911. But, something tells me this is gonna be a "gateway" car for me.

I already have my eyes on this...

And I would LOVE to have one of these

Sweet car! Some people get Porsche other's don't, I for one get it and chances are high when I replace the S2k it will be with a P-car. For me, it's hard to justify the 911 C2S over a Boxster S, there is over a $30k price difference and the performance on the street, where I drive 99% of the time, is so similar its hard to spend the extra. Have a Quaife LSD installed and you'll have a better handling car for most all situations. That said I do have a soft spot for 911's and if money is no issue I would be hard pressed not to get the 911.

And Germans bombed London and the Italians were Fascists and Napoleon was French so he should have bought a Jaguar.
