Yeah, might be time to shop around.
Yeah I think it's time to shop around man. I watched on the news a couple years back and they said something about how insurance companies "get too comfortable" with their customers and end up giving newer cuetomers better prices than loyal ones!

Yeah, that may be the case.

I've been with NJM since around 1996. I live in the west side of NJ in the middle of farm land.

I'll look into it and get some quotes.

On a lighter note, I shipped my tuner to Livernois to get it switched over.

Yeah then it's time to shop around! I remember from that news broadcast they were saying that you should change it every couple of years.

Let us know how it goes! I was going to livernois tune an escape before I bought me RDX. Really like that company.

I have my tuner back from Livernois and tuned over the weekend. Yeah, you really feel the difference. It just pulls hard and can really feel the torque. I can see how others have posted mid to high 12's with just a tune.

Sweet looking Fusion! Absolute rocket with a tune. How is it going from an Explorer to a Fusion?

When they first came on the lots last summer, a local dealer wouldn't let me test drive one. "We don't just let anyone test drive these, this is a PERFORMANCE vehicle." So my 24 year old ass got to go for a ride in one around the block. Finally got to test drive one not too long ago (different dealer) and it was a blast, the engine sounds amazing. Definitely on my list when my current lease is up.

Its not the trans, its the way they limit the boost down low to minimize tq steer and make less a hand full. A simple tune really takes care of those issues and makes the vehicle perform much more like it should. Its the same with all the FWD/AWD ecoboost engines. Even the Trucks have it but not nearly to the degree the others have it.

Also, you can do a throttle body relearn, not sure how long it lasts until the PCM starts 'learning' again, but it makes a noticeable difference.
Key on (don't start engine), press pedal to the floor, slide foot off & let pedal rebound quickly, key off. Repeat x3.
Did it in the F150 & it definitely sharpened the throttle response.

Thanks Guys! Man this tune is great. I hit the throttle to pass someone on the highway, it kicks down and my speed jumps right up another 20 mph, so I'm letting off real quick. So hard to drive easy. lol Even nailing it at 70 it pulls hard jumping to 90.

So far I've felt zero torque steer from hard kickdown accelerations, even with the tune. I haven't done a hard launch from a stop yet, just about to hit 1000 miles, so I've been waiting to break in things.

Hitting Sport Mode definitely sharpens things up. I'll try the throttle response reset trick. I know my XSport would reset after disconnecting the battery.

Into turns its good but the rear does feel loose. I need to plan on upgrading with a larger rear swaybar and strut tower brace that Steeda offers. I know better summer tires would help a lot instead of these Goodyear F1 asymmetric all seasons.

I hear wheel hop can be an issue off the line and sounds like one of the Vendors is working on some future upgraded parts such as rear motor mount for correcting the wheel hop, and also downpipes/ exhaust, larger air intake for the stock air box. Hopefully R&D picks up for these bringing more parts to market.

Another thing, I haven't seen any other Fusion Sports other than mine on the roads. Has anyone noticed any on their travels?

^ Haven't seen a single FFS here, just the couple at the dealer.

i raced one three months back.
i didnt recognize the headlights... odd square like amber's! that's what caught my attention, the amber's in the headlights as it tried to pass me but chose the wrong lane and had to come back behind me.
traffic cleared up and I got over to the right lane and with his lane open, he gave it the beans.
he continued weaving into traffic and that's when i saw the dual exhaust. Ford Fusion Sport!!
