Engine light comes on while driving and suddenly car remains idling but no power past 1000 revs even if you press accelerator? It is on 270 000 km and i Hve just done an oil service. it is still eating oil, burning it, but no leaks and no smoke. Please help

 

If your title is correct, you have a Yaris which is a Toyota vehicle. This forum is for Acura and "maybe" Honda vehicles. Unlikely you will find much knowledge available here for the vehicle in question.

No matter...the same basic rules apply. Start with getting the codes pulled for the engine light and work from there.
