Goodbye Lexus, Hello RWD! My new ride
So let me first start off by saying that I'll miss my 1998 Lexus ES300 that I bought in 07 very much. It's been nothing but great, extremely reliable, and the quality was awesome. Not a single rattle whats so ever and the car just felt overall very solid, not to mention it was as smooth as butter.
I know Lexus isn't seen very favorably amongst "Enthusiasts" but I'm a fan, I can definately seeing myself in another Lexus when I'm a bit older...
Anyways moving on. I bought this car a month ago, but just haven't had time to upload the pictures. I have to say this is THE MOST fun car I've ever driven/owned. 2200lbs, RWD, and stick shift. Awesome little car, it's incredibly tossable, handles like a go-kart. I also love the fact that it's a convertible since I live in So CAL where it's perfect convertible weather year round. Nothing like cruising PCH with the top down and rowing through the gears.
The only drawbacks are LA traffic of course, the rattles, and it's very very loud on the highway. It's at about 4000RPM at 80MPH. Other than that, I'm loving it.
Oh and I can care less about the gay stigma, I'm not insecure kthx.
Oh special thanks goes to Shoofin and Sarlacc for letting me know what a good price should be and for recommending a good mechanic. Didn't get a chance to use it though, but it's appreciated anyway

Nice car!
We picked up a '94 Laguna Blue w/only 51K miles last summer. I love it and have been spending a good bit of time fixing up things and tinkering. No doubt that these cars are a blast to drive! Check out miata.net

Congrats! Yours looks really clean. I agree, those things are really fun, just great to row the gears in and they're incredibly balanced.... so fun to slide around in. I've also really considered getting one as a toy but I've always put it on hold for one reason or another, fuck the :ghey: stigma. The Miata stock shifter is nearly as short as my short shifter.
you're getting rid of the Lexus???

Thanks all. It's a 1991, completely bone stock.
Yea I sold the Lexus to get the Miata. I'm saving the difference and planning to get another car within a year or so.
I'm highly anticipating the Hyundai Genesis, and the VW MKVI GTI. I also have been considering an AP2 S2000, IS350, 06+ G35 Coupe, 07+ G35 sedan and BMW e92.
I've been saving up my money for a good sized down payment on one of those cars, and once I do get it, I'm not switching cars until I finish college and get my career going.
