Good lease deals?
Good lease deals?
VW sign and drive event.
GTI - 4 door with stick no options = 329/mos plus tax, no drive off, no other hidden fees. Just 3-400 hundred to title the car...probably a negotiable number.
R32 - 429/mos plus tax, same deal
36 month lease (35 because they pay for the first month.)
12k a year.
What do you guys think? Sound like a good deal? Where is Beltfed and his leasing knowledge.
I've driven both. Both are great. I just got my pathy back from the shop and my mechanic (future father in law) said the car would be good for another 10k before needing a new tranny and clutch. And I have a wedding come up to pay for, etc. But I'm still on the fence. If its just a so so lease deal, then forget it. But if its a really good deal, then I want to consider some more.

Are those the numbers you get from the commercial? If yes, then you can do better.
Forget all about the monthly payment amounts they throw out at you. You need to know:
1. Sticker Price (needed to figure residual)
2. Residual Value at end of term (percentage of sticker price)
3. Capitalized Cost (price you negociated for the car)
4. Term (months)
5. Money Factor (comparable to an interest rate)
6. Tax (paid only on the protion of your payment going to vehicle cost)
I have a spreadsheet that will calculate the payments if you have all that info, which you should be able to get by calling a dealer (other than the Cap Cost, which you will negociate). If they won't give you the money factor and/or residual, then walk and find another dealer.

Judging by the numbers and costs for those cars, the money factors are high and the residuals low. I would say they are probably higher than they should be given the sticker prices of the cars.

I was shocked after driving it. Very funny, shockingly quick. exhause note to die for.
I wish it came in stick, but dsg is ok.
Actually very impressed with stick in the GTI after my bad stick in the A3 experience.
I am not dying for either of these vehicles, like i sent went on a whim, thought I'd post the numbers.

I just drove a preowned rs4 tonight with 15k on it and after that I would steer clear of audi vw. My sti has seen 53000 of hard driven miles and 30+ track days a year and still feels better than that rs4.
^ you based that on whole VW/audi lineup after driving one car.... yikes.
My A4 felt brand new even at 45k miles.
Try another RS4, maybe that one you drove was in an accident or something. Who knows.

shifter felt like rubber, brakes were beyond spent, and the car just felt sloppy. I guess after driving a new 335ci back to back the new felt better than the preowned. I have owned audi's in the past but I guess I just expected more performance wise.

So who the fuck knows. I like too many cars. Right now the pathy still works because if I could afford a team trail. I'd have bought the one a dealer got in stock yesterday.
I hate you crockpot.

Still 30 months at 69% is pretty tempting. Figure a money factor of .0029 it's about $375/mo for 30 months with T&T down on a $35k 128i.
I'd still rather have the Audi but that's a really strong lease $$ (unless my math is wrong).
humor me, how does this sound
R32 w/o nav
Adjusted cap cost: $31,000.75
36 months
15k miles/year
Residual of $19,169 (59%)
Money factor .00092
$1400 down payment
=
$399/mo.

The deal he got....
$314/month
24 months
12k/miles
$2,100 total oop
Your deal sounds good though and the MKVR32 really is a kick ass car, I'm really impressed with it.

Too late now, since it was the end of the month.

Maybe this is what she had in mind for you?

J/K of course.

nah, its a money issue. She just bought a condo that I am moving into soon. So my cost of living will increase, and we our paying for our wedding ourselves. So, a point is made about chilling out since my pathfinder was deemed to perfectly fine for the time being.
Hell, I never even brought my camera cart to the vw dealer to see if it even fit in the back. That would have been a deal breaker anyway.
